Telling Angie "we'll never compromise on modesty" when she felt uncomfortable is manipulative as hell... Models have the right to say no. And using freezing water on shoot?? Seriously?? They just want to torture these girls for the views

that's why i loved yu tsai for stepping into kelly and kevin's anti-modesty sermons. americans may have superiority complex but at least they know how to acknowledge basic human decency

19:42 was the ONLY time yu tsai wasn't annoying, I feel so bad for Angie :'( women have a right to say if they're feeling uncomfortable, its not unprofessional it's THEIR RIGHT.
I think throwing cold water onto models was unnecessary, nobody is going to throw freezing water on you during a photoshoot unless they are sadists

this is honestly my favourite episode from this cycle just solely because of the development in the relationship between angie and yu tsai as well as the judges addressing the entire issue about modesty when modelling

Yu Tsai is rather distracting than helpful. Some people think rudeness in reality shows makes someone cooler when it's totally the opposite. He clearly overdo it.

As a young girl in my early teen years I felt so uncomfortable that these girls had to push through with whatever they were told to do whether it goes against their morals or not. I felt extremely uncomfortable watching what they said to Angie (aside from Eugene, he was very respectful and in the right) knowing that Angie had to sacrifice her modesty for a career. Saying "I'm uncomfortable" should not translate to "I want to quit". I get that each challenge should be a surprise but the model's should be given the chance to have a say in what they are or aren't willing to do for a photoshoot so no one risks losing by default because they didn't want to go against their beliefs.
However, after watching "Photographer reacts to ____ America's Next Top model" I realized how much that show twisted the model's words to start a civil war and create drama just for the show. I get that it's reality TV but I find it sad how girls may sign up because they think they have a chance at their life changing for the better, but instead they become an object to toy with and poke fun at for entertainment. Comparing Asia's Next Top Model and America's Next Top Model, I felt relieved that they created a more welcoming and fun environment in NTM-Asia because they all had chemistry in contrast to NTM-America where they're all against each other. Yes it's a competition, but it's reality tv, might as well have fun while it lasted rather than hating your time being there only to go back to being a regular person with extra thousands of followers and haters.

They were way too harsh on the girls this photoshoot. From behind the scenes to the panel. The way they acted towards Angie was disgusting until Yu Tsai shut them down. Them calling Tawan big was also messed up.
Edit: I cried when Tuti told Tawan to win this for her & Tawan really did win :)
This season by far is the best season, The contestant, the Panel, it's just joyful

Rather watch Asia Top Models instead of American or Africas Top Models because the models take criticism well, are respectful to other models and the judges. Also I think the judges are more honest with better opinions.

this is actually very disturbing with Angie Case. Kenneth the judge was a bit not understanding the situation that the model face. he basically told Angie too stfu if you wanna be in this industry. i know that a person has to be professional but ANgie concern mas minimal. she was shaking from the cold water and she actually speaks up that she is not comfortable with the looks. i know kelly is speaking about her experince, but the way she is trying to do it is that she expect everyone must be the same. i felt that YU tsai was the best. he was right. to shut them both up

Yu Tsai is a joke tho. You can disagree with other judges but dismissing whole opinion of other judges without saying the why, in front of the finalists, is rude to the bone. And that forced “Yu Tsai, Yu Tsai, Yu Tsai” from the models is such a drag. At least try to make them pronounce it better to make it tiny bit more spontaneous eventho we all know it’s otherwise

guys they threw cold water to train them to be flexible with situations like that because when they get to be real models already not everyone is gonna be nice and considerate of the model in the industry especially during shoots . In my opinion it helped them, some will throw warm, some will throw hot and some will throw in the cold and there will be nothing u can do about it cause ur already doing the shoot and if there is anything the model industry doesn't have it's time.

Oh please, the latest session of AsNTM is low budget and too social media-oriented as well. They lack of high fashion shoots, outdoor shoots, and modelling challenge.
I'm not saying INTM better, but they probably around the same quality of the show in modelling aspects.

TO EACH THER OWN!....but i don't think it's necessary to say rude things about the mentors and girls, especially since u have never been in the industry and experienced what it is like, both the good and the bad. We can give our comments and opinion's but don't judge someone without knowing what it is like and its really cost nothing to not say rude things and degrade people.(I am saying this because i have been in this industry and know what it is like). Sometimes u have to push and poke and maybe even hurt and scratch that comfort zone and ego a bit to see ho strong they are and help shape them to become the best.
