    This free workshop online commissioned by Envelope Festival is an introduction to Max for Live and the Ircam spatialisation tool Spat, which is very handy if you'd like to work with many loudspeakers in a live performance or, for example, encode to binaural for stereo reproduction.The workshop targets new users of Max for Live, and we will make a simple device from start to end with an explanation of every object and design decision in the process.
    Lasse Munk is a creative technologist, educated sound designer who works with theater and installation art. He has 10+ years experience with developing max patches, and has done so professionally for many years both as a freelancer, in-house in sound design studio klingklangklong and as a electronic music artist in the Kopenhagen Laptop Orchestra (KLO) who creates custom software for electronic music live performances and with whom Lasse performed among other places at Ableton Loop and at the opening of the danish pavilion at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
    Workshop by Lasse Munk is part of Envelope - an immersive sound festival happening from September 10 till October 29 as an event series across the Nordic - Baltic region in person and online. Festival hosts spatial music concerts, sound art installations, seminars and workshops by Nordic-Baltic artists. It is a creative collaboration between organizations and artists from Finland, Norway, Denmark, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania to explore the future of audio technologies.
