Meshuggah's Bleed is the best. I remember when that song was released on their Myspace and little 18 year old me was not disappointed. Still remaining one of my favourite metal bands ever.

I'm a big fan of the classic metal stuff (Priest, Maiden, Dio, etc.) and power metal (Blind Guardian, Lost Horizon, Dream Evil, etc.), but the stuff that gets me to (involuntarily) headbang the most is stuff like Pantera and Korn. Like, I *could* headbang to some of the Cannibal Corpse stuff, or Napalm Death, The Faceless, Meshuggah, etc., but that would be more like "I like this song, so I'm going to choose to go crazy to it." Pantera and Korn (especially the examples that Loudwire picked) create such a deep pocket with the bass and drum grooves, like those you would hear in a Stevie Wonder or Fleetwood Mac song, and then they turn the distortion up to 11. I find myself involuntarily head-bopping to it, and then that bop gets slowly more and more aggressive. Another example is that I could *choose* to headbang at the end of Metallica's "One" because it's heavy and I love the song in general, but I am almost defenseless when the verse of "Sad But True" starts, because that groove is just wicked, even though I like the song less and it isn't nearly as heavy as "Darkness, Imprisoning me..." section of "One". For me, heavy is only part of the headbanging equation, especially when you're not choosing to do it, and groove makes a big difference there, at least to me.
Korn is alternative metal (not real metal). Bands like Exodus, Slayer, Metallica, and Pantera are REAL metal. Bands like Korn and Tool are for people who can't listen to real metal. Come at me haters.
