One of my favorite SL of all time with Jasam. All actors played their hearts out on this SL. You could feel the emotions, and it still makes me cry today even without the sound. KM should have won the Emmy for this SL she was unbelievably good.
I remember watching this scene, and I remember the emotions, and it brought me to tears. You all are amazing actors. I really miss watching Jason with Sam and Sonny, and especially Carly

This was such an amazing storyline! I miss the old days. I’ve been watching this show my whole life. I was in first grade when that episode aired.. time flies but I really do miss the early 2000s GH. It hasn’t been the same since around 2012

Even after all this time I still recall how Kelly Monaco just knocked it out of the park and brought everyone to their knees. All of you involved in that SL were just phenomenal!! So nice to hear from you how things were from behind the scenes while filming such an intense SL. I rank that particular SL up there with the Stone dying, and Maxie getting her new ❤ from BJ storylines. Loved this rewatch guys!

These were such intense scenes. The song In the Arms of an Angel playing during them really brought the sadness home. I imagine it would be a difficult process to work through after the scenes are over, trying to regain and redirect your emotions after basically really having to have gone there in your head, so your response is authentic, therefore your body even would feel the strain. It was heavy for sure. You all really brought it and gave such raw emotional performances. I miss you so much as Jason. You made him so real and such a great character. I wish you the best on Days of Our Lives. You were fantastic on Y&R, and I have no doubt you are on Days of Our Lives, too.

So well done by the cast here! Sonny's anger and heartbreak & Jason's incredible heartbreak & strength is palpable. I'm curious Steve if you watched when you first woke up after your accident to get back into the Jason mindset? I emailed you guys a few weeks ago (not sure if you got/saw that) but suggested you guys check out that whole episode, because Steve and Kimberly do wonderfully when Jason first wakes up, but the rest of the episode is Mary Mae Ward's funeral, and that is a set of scenes I consistently go back to, and one of the reasons I love this show so much. The music, the heartfelt stories, & the belief in God we got from that funeral episode was incredible, not only for the passing of Mary Mae but as a tribute for the passing of the actress Rosalind Cash.
I believe that was the first truly emotional scene that you did , that I believed Jason was feeling . You did an amazing job . Emily’s death was emotional as well . Utilizing that deep feeling and connection with the character has to be challenging. You nailed it .
Losing a baby JASON LOVED like his own child was sad, but I liked STEVE BURTON'S work when his TV sister EMILY was murdered by DIEGO ALCAZAR better!! I cried buckets of tears at EMILY'S cold blooded death because I always LOVED NATALIA LIVINGSTON as EMILY with STEVE BURTON as her big brother JASON, TYLER CHRISTOPHER as her TRUE LOVE NIKOLAS CASSADINE, & REBECCA HERST as her bff ELIZABETH WEBBER. These 4 actors in the scenes where EMILY died & the grief JASON, ELIZABETH & NIKOLAS showed gets me EVERY time I see them. The heartbreak that NIKOLAS showed not wanting to accept that she was dead & refusing to let go of her, the horrible agony her brother JASON felt & ELIZABETH holding off of her grief to help NIKOLAS was so well acted, it seemed real!! I do realize though that these 4 people are EXTREMELY TALENTED ATTRACTIVE ACTORS & ACTRESSES!! I don't remember if any of them won any Emmy's, but they all 4 deserved to win for this WELL written storyline!!

As I recall Christina needed a stem sell transplant, Baby Lila was a match- It was the beginning of JaSam, but I think it was also the Segway into the Salexis maternity SL
Alexis's daughter Kristina was sick and needed stem cells from Sam's baby placenta and since Sonny was father to both baby's they thought it would be a good match...No one knew that Alexis was Sam's mother yet. Alexis found Sam in the chapel and begged, pleaded with her to induce labor early for the harvest of the stem cells. Sam went into labor and had a placental eruption, she had to have an immediate C-section. Jason and Sam had become close and they were going to raise Sam & Sonny's baby together. I think this is also when Sonny found out that Kristina was his daughter and that Alexis and Carly were hiding his paternity...What a MESS ! This was so heart wrenching of a story line and when you throw in Sarah McLachlan singing, 'In the Arms of the Angels'. It was a 2 box of Kleenex episode.

Especially when Jason goes into the operating room. Sam heart stopped. You could see it in Jason's eyes. She couldn't die. There were eventually more tissues when Jason had to tell her. Baby Lyla had died. They grew closer together and supported each other. Through the sadness. Which eventually blossomed into true love. JaSam As we know and love the Dragon & Phoenix, Their Love shall last a lifetime. A love that just is.💖🧭
One of the saddest. Kelly should have gotten that Emmy. Please watch the one with Spinelli talked about how good the sex was with Maxie in 2009. And when Jason came back from Mexico and Spinelli knew Jason and Sam had made love. Spinelli said was "you are awash in a sunomei of romance" Also the one in 2009 when Spinelli thought Jason was arrested for sleeping with a prostitute and Spinelli had to pay bail money.
I always thought Kelly Monaco was robbed of an Emmy for this storyline. Her and Steve gave brilliant, heartbreaking performances in this storyline.
