Peter Marshall and Soupy Sales graduated from Huntington High School (West Virginia). Soupy was in the class ahead of Peter's. My mom and dad were in the same high school class with Peter Marshall.
That's interesting, considering Soupy was only about 2 months older than Peter. Would've thought that they had graduated together. Either way... R.I.P. Peter Marshall
I am, still, enjoying these(thank-you, Mr. Mosher), having begun watching the program in its' original run(I was nine), when Wally Bruner hosted. Hooray, for TH-cam and, its posters!
The original run was 1950 - 1967 with Mr. John Charles Daly as host/moderator, broadcast live on Sunday night at 10:30 PM on the CBS television network.
Lois Nettleton was married to Jean Shepherd, Jr from 1960-1967. Mr Shepherd was an author and humorist. One of his claims to fame was writing a collection of short stories. One of these stories became the basis for the 1983 movie, A Christmas Story. Jean also narrated the movie and shared writing credit with Leigh Brown and Bob Clark.
I've watched these as a little girl and still love them.

Soupy Sales' birth name was Milton Supman.
@@RonGerstein yes, my parents told me Soupy's real name many years ago.
