Minhwan is a reknown drummer and FT Island guitarists were all sub-vocals and good musicians. Even though they are down to 3 they will always be the blueprint of idol bands.
So happy to see this reaction, I think this is also going to be one of my songs of the year. It's just so well-executed it's the kind of song you can't believe didn't exist until now. I love it so much, and it's genuinely what made me start getting into Ftisland. I was late i know lol but THIS SONG
hey, we can be late to the FT Island train together haha! I am pretty happy to see this coming out as well, a great song added in to what I personally feel has been a somewhat lackluster year for the BGs of Korean music
Aaron you are spoiling me, FT Island and N Flying in one night. Yes I picked this as my track of the year (along with Anti Hero by Epic High) 9 I also said the year is young haha) when you asked in your posting. Have said it before Hong Ki's voice is wrapped around my heart. Min Hwan is a great drummer. "Future" live with Hwe Seung (N Flying) is my go to. Everybody will mention Still Love You a slow ballad duet with again Hwe Seung as Hwe Seung's high note freaks everyone out great yes but Hong Ki gets me in that one. "Fade out" is the bomb. Live of course. "Take Me Now" and "Crying in the Rain" breaks me every time!!!!! (Apologies for repeating myself I mentioned before the video with Seungkwan from Seventeen getting to sing with him live on Hong Ki's radio show and two other members DK and someone (sorry don't Seventeen) losing it watching as they know how excited Seungkwan is to sing with him. There is also a compilation here on You tube of Ft Island on Knowing Bros and just the reaction from the other guests some of whom are singer when Hong Ki sings (its the 9 minute long one as they have some of them all split up into smaller videos). He is not known as Mr. Emotion for nothing. They are also quite funny when they get going. I know know nothing about guitars or basses haha I just thought Jae Jin's bass looked pretty. Sorry basic.
I had to! honestly, I might start getting into some of these more rock ish bands, I know Rolling Quarts just put out a new song as well, so, its a good time to like KRock TBH, honestly I am super excited to go through all these requests you gave me though, the hardest thing is always kind of knowing what to actually choose
thank you for a bit of information on the bass guitars! I don't have knowledge on instruments and their sounds, but was exited to learn new things about Rickenbacker! Day6's bassist recently got Rickenbacker and started to use it, so I was hearing about Rickenbackers from their content when you listen to bands you can't help but start getting interested in the instruments too ^^
Ahh! Yes! The re rise of Rickenbacker, they always just sound so gorgeous, honestly that's the base I'd get! And honestly just going against the grain is always a good choice especially when, the competency is there
@@Killdeer25 the pros YoungK mentioned were unique sound and very pretty. and cons it's heavier than others, pricey, might not suit all of their songs in the end it's probably better to get what you will enjoy playing and take the risk ^^
Yes! That is such a Rickenbacker problem, it's not a maleable sound like the Fender Precision, he is right on right there. It does limit to what music you play
@@Killdeer25 Lee Jaejin even has an electric double(?) bass that he brought on tour in 2017. You can check out videos of FTISLAND 'THE TRUTH' acoustic session in Singapore or Bangkok

Ah! Burn it!! Loved the reaction, such a great song. BURN IT was actually a pre-release for their comeback but counts as a 2nd titletrack^^ The main title track is called 'Serious' and while they're both fantastic, I prefer Serious by far!! It's so dramatic and heavy, can't wait for you to hear that one!
hmmm! that is a tough call! I might agree with you on that! if you want to check that out I do have it for you! 😊 th-cam.com/video/S5GkNMmLbgE/w-d-xo.html
This one is soo good! Not that most everything I've heard isn't good. With the choice to mute the guitar down as you pointed out, I'm sure primarily it was to serve the song but I wonder also if it wasn't intentionally done to feature just these three remaining members? Their guitarist retired from the industry earlier this year and announced his impending marriage and desire to emigrate to another country and start a new life (two other members left previously including one involved in the Burning Sun case). So to me, I really felt like this song is the perfect showcase of these three members talents to show that they are still going strong. I still have a ton of their older stuff to check out but these remaining three members have been the ones that stuck out for me anyway even in songs that had all of the original members. So glad they are carrying on together!
whoa! he decided a whole life change, thats kind of wild, honestly because its a rock band the only people that are the hardest to replace is the singers, especially when they are of this caliber, I would had to see the drummer go though
@@Killdeer25 yes I watched some recent lives including behind the scenes and they did have a guitarist but the camera never focused on him so it was clear he was filling the roll but was not a new member.
@@kristenblack6026 They probably will never get an official new guitarist. Although Euisoo (that session guitarist) is always with them on the stages and even helped the writing some of the songs in this album i don't think he will ever be an official member. Since they've been around quite a while, it's hard for fans to accept a new member to a 17 years old band. The last time they had got a new member was 15 years ago. It's also not an easy thing for Euisoo or other session guitarists too. Suddenly being an "idol" at the age of 30-something is very burdersome. I don't think anyone would want that.

Yaaaaay!!! Burn it and Serious are duel title tracks.
indeed!
Great song! I've always had a soft spot for Hongki's killer vocals.
yes! he is so good!
FNC probably has my favorite Korean artist roster.
for real
