@@corathus thank you! That’s been sort of my goal from the beginning. I get a lot of comments to do more popular, mainstream characters but it’s not really what interests me. I’m more interested in the fringe characters that I’ve never seen sculpted before. And while we’re on the subject of Mario sunshine, because it remains such a nostalgic game for me, I have some other videos in the pipeline. So stay tuned if you enjoy that franchise :)

When i saw the thumbnail i thought that this was a 3d print or photoshop but mot and i can tell that the sculpture was made with lots of love and heart unlike the other one but atleast they tried

Oh sure! So I used epoxy clay for this guy as well as a coating of polymer clay on top. Then acrylic paint and a coat of matte finish for a soft sheen to it.

How Long did this take you to make?
This one took me a few months to finish because I was working on and off with it while also doing school.
Did you bake it half way and add more clay after? Ive never tried that before
No so for this sculpt I used a combination of epoxy clay and polymer clay. I put down a raw shape made from epoxy clay for the “skeleton” of the piece, and then coated it with polymer clay on top.
@@sculptednostalgia Ive never tried epoxy before. Does it harden over time without baking?
@@FFGAir yeah so with epoxy clay you have a window of about an hour before it cures and hardens because you mix a hardener in it. It’s great stuff and I’m trying to make the switch from polymer clay

Ah that’s too bad, I quite like the remixes. But thank you! May I ask what about them you didn’t like? I try to stay away from too remixed songs and things with dubstep and things of that nature cause those aren’t my jam and turn a lot of people off, but I thought these were good. Was it all 3 or just the first one you didn’t care for?
@@sculptednostalgia It was just extremely uncomfortable for me to listen to that because of the extremely hard beat and the very high frequencies. BUT please don't get me wrong, that is my personal taste! It's only the first two which are too much for my ears. The third one I can get behind, it seems softer :) (ps.: your sculpting is amazing!)

What materials did u use i wanna make one
For this guy I used epoxy clay for the base layer with a top coating of super sculpey. However I now have 100% transitioned to epoxy clay as it is infinitely more strong and doesn’t crack. I also used wire for the tentacles and aluminum foil for bulking out the body. For the paint I just used matte acrylic paints, and that’s it!
