Always a blast when you visit! Glad you enjoyed all the trade bits :)
Great to see you again. We had a lovely time. Roll on next year!
How I would love to go to Tokyo. So much to do, to eat and also see & enjoy. I will get my hands into every robot toy from the 70s & 80s. The beauties that I will see! 🙏🏻
Kotetsu Jeeg, Gakeen, Tetsujin 28, Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Grendizer all of those wonderful robots that I would love to acquire. Astro Boy is a favorite of my Mom. 🥰
Awwwhh man... opening shot was just where I started my Toy journey in Tokyo!!! That alleyway has one of the oldest Street Fighter arcade machines. Did you get to play? Such good memories. Thanks for sharing! 👍👍👍 Godjira rules 🙏
I'm very envious. I'd love to get to Japan.
Me too my friend
If you don't want to worry about room in the suitcase, you could mail your hauls home. My parents did that when we lived overseas and came back to the US for a few weeks. 🙂
The simple design of those sofubi beautifully fits the aesthetic of the original cartoon. I definitely need to add these to my collection!
You have good taste Dave. That microman is a proper bargain! Well done 👏
Thanks 👍
Those Gatchaman look good. Joe the condor was my favorite.
I've got a King Walder sofubi very similar to the Invaders you showed, maybe a little bigger and more articulated. Still looking for a loose complete Torg subform for my Muton, though! 😁 For the Gatchaman capes, try a neck clip type device, I'm sure you did a video featuring one a while back. ✌️
Japan is such a glorious destination for toy collectors! We're planning a trip to South Korea and Japan next year. Our main destination will be Kyushu this time, but we're setting aside two or three days in Tokyo before heading home. I can't wait to get to Akihabara, Nakano Broadway etc again.
Awesomeness seeing you and Jeremy in Japan together 😃😃😃 I’ve watched and love both videos 🤩🤩🤩
Awesome! Thank you!
On the fleamarket I saw a group of monchichi. Wow. So amazing. They survived from the seventies or eighties. Thank you for sharing your japan experience.
Man I'd love to go to Japan.
I hope to check out that Hobby off when I return next year.
It's really worth getting to at least one of them.
Oh, side-note, that Microman is Jack! He's a personal favourite of mine.
Wow nice tríp!!!
Espero ver viejos juguetes clásicos !
Crazy I was only in that hobbyoff in Hachioji a couple months ago now!! The flea as well I miss it all😢
Like the Gatchaman figures, seen them on ebay but never got them. May have to get a set now. Some really nice pick ups.
Hey Dave
I have always enjoyed your Japan trips and look forward to part 2.
Take care😊
Thanks 👍

Love the Gatchaman figures!! 😎👌🏼
Hope to see you two together again and more great stuff you will find together 🦾🦾🦾
Fantastic David
11:47 These remind me of the gumball machine toys I would buy as a child. But they didn't come with candy. Just the toy.
We need an updated office/room tour with the current fig displays.
It's underwhelming.
Well, that definitely beats toy hunting in Bridgewater ;)
Very interesting to look around with you Dave, something a bit more unusual and intriguing.
Glad you found some weird and wonderful items to bring back!
What is the translucent rectangular item beside Microman in the bubble? It looks like a battery pack or something. What does it do?
Thanks for the video!
👍🙏🐵
Thanks. That's a case for Microman to live in. They missed those off when they brought them over here as Micronauts.
Awesome!
I'll have to take a squiz at the Shinagawa flea market when I head to Japan later this year.
Nice to see a Treadmasters Starbuck in Japan! I guess bulky Starbuck got around to the land of the rising sun!
You don't see him often these days. Not a great figure. But he was cheap.
@@toypolloi Totally, and carded! Most people go for the Cylons, maybe the only good figure in the Trendmasters BG series!
I was just there a few weeks ago too!
Clicked because toy banzai, stayed for more Japanese toy hunts
Thanks 👍
Nice haul you got there sir
Thank you kindly
My mother in law when she traveled she took clothes she could just donate at the end of her trip so she had room in her luggage to bring home stuff. She traveled a ton when she was alive.
That's a cool thing to do. I fill my suitcase with toys to give to friends, so I know there it loads of space for bringing things back home with me.
I am also here with my family visiting Tokyo
Have a great time
Well done Dave - you're shopping for all of us left behind. Bit worried about "sparkerly" bit though....😊
The currency converter card is a good idea but how do you work out what the prices are at those flea markets - do they all speak English, do you speak Japanese or do you get them to scribble the number on a pad(a la Leicester Toy Shop)?
Thanks. I don't speak Japanese at all. It's never been a problem. Sellers will often type the price onto a calculator to show you. Cheers
Dang, Mazinga there. I found Mazinga Shogun Warrior at a flea market in like 78/79' and BEGGED my mom to buy me it.
I noticed Battle for the Planets figures - Jason's uniform colours is not consistent with the anmation series. oh well.
Whoaa got so many Gojira Sofubi, last time on May go there not many sofubi. So dissapointed
Subarashii!!
How does one plan for a trip to Japan? Im in Chicago, always wanted to go.
Decide what it is you want to see/do. Watch stuff on TH-cam and get a good guidebook to prep yourself. You can manage without Japanese in most major centers - a lot of signs and train announcements are in English. A translation app on your phone will help though. Get your passport, some currency, and a set itinerary. US citizens can get 90 days without a visa, but must have a paid return ticket. Jump on a plane and off you go.
Any Takara GI Joe in your adventures?
what is the name of that song
The dolls looked like Takara Jenny etc.
What you doing in my neck of the woods?
Shopping mainly 🖖
