    Amazing video again Alice! I loved Norway and I loved the 24 hours of sun. I would have so much energy at midnight and 1:00 in the morning. Then somewhere around 2 or 3, I would crash and sleep well : )

    • @AliceFordAdventures
      @AliceFordAdventures  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That sunshine sure does energize you. It's a wild feeling. The weirdest part for me would be when I would wake up in the night and look at the window like I do at home to see if its morning, but it always was :()

    Wow, can't believe people used to have to climb that mountain (hill?) to see the midnight sun. Good thing you can drive there now! So crazy that it's so bright out near midnight. What an incredible experience.

And to reply about your comment, you are too good looking to hide underneath that thick jacket and goggles but it served a purpose protecting you while sailing. And what would I do under the midnight sun? I do not know for sure but good company would help define a reason.

      The Arctic regions have just as much moonlight as anywhere else. While you don't see it during mid summer, you see more of it during the dark winter, so it evens out. Same thing with the sun for that matter. The extra hours during the summer, you lose during the winter.

    Alice,
    This was a really interesting and somewhat different video that you produced. I thought it was really cool and entertaining seeing you in cooking mode against the crab (don't worry about PETA, I will defend you all day if they try to boycott your TH-cam channel... haha!) and unique to see how they actually prepare the crab. As far as your boating outfit goes, I think it was really funny to see you bundled up to that degree and the googles really made the look. However, it still seemed like you were freezing on that fishing boat, but I give you credit; you are a real trooper. You seem much more comfortable in your typical outdoor hiking gear. Lastly, I give you credit dealing with all those dead smelly fish. It must have really smelled bad and been hell. I love the outdoors too, but I just can't deal with dead smelly fish. I'm sorry, I guess it is the Midwest suburban male in me.
    It was cool to see that someplace on this world where the sun shines every day. Did the fact that the sun shining all day and night, mess up your sleep cycle?
    Thanks so much for sharing your Norway experience with all of us on TH-cam, I really enjoyed it.
    You are doing a great job with your videos and giving National Geographic a real run for its money.
    God Bless....
    Eric Monte

    • @AliceFordAdventures
      @AliceFordAdventures  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eric. Thank you so much. It was quite fishy in that factory. Glad to know I have your support in fighting PETA lol. My sleep was a bit messed up, hard to stay asleep when its always daylight out, so you get less sleep that is for sure. All the locals said that as well.

    • @exentr
      @exentr 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      + Eric Monte The odor is a clinical organism of the first and second degree. There is no pollution to speak of. Production takes place under strict control and the industry is highly professional. Hygiene is routine and the product is world class. it does not smell bad like bacteria will cause. low temperature from the sea to the consumer is a key word. There are fresh and clean products for the market. Everything summed up in fine color, smell and taste on the consumer's dinner table. Bon apetit =)
