I opened for him when he came to Louisville, KY years ago. I bought a copy of Songs in the Key of Beotch and he autographed it. There was, like, NO ONE at that show! The venue was very, very small. I'm glad he's having so much success!

in my experience (which is limited, I'll admit), memorizing lyrics/lines is pretty easy when you wrote the material.

Love this tune, love him.. I could honestly see where the "gimmick" remarks are coming from.. Especially if you're listening to this song in particular. Mash is a pretty basic composition (catchy as fuck in my humble opinion though). To say tunes like this one don't hold up with other artists, I feel almost certain you couldn't say that about his most recent release, "Poseidon's Deep Water Adventure Friends". The haters should go listen to that... It's some serious shit. Sometimes he does epic, cinematic sounding story telling. Other times, he makes butt shaking funky stuff. He clearly just has fun with it. Even if you don't respect him as an instrumentalist.. The dude has killer vocals.. Such an amazing low end.

@everyone arguing about whether or not That1Guy's music is good. I can't believe you guys. You argue about such stupid things concerning music. You can't just look at it from a narrow, by-the-rules fashion! It seems simple, and to some it may seem bad, but to others it's great music that everyone can learn to appreciate! Don't scoff at it just because you don't like it, and don't scoff at others because they think it's good! It just makes others feel bad and makes you look like a jerk.

@portoqwerty Don't get me wrong now! I like self made instruments a LOT & use a few in my own stuff!!! & I have been known to wear a mask or face paint at times & I actually DO like SOME of what this guy does,but this video just looks like he's trying to copy a Franz Ferdinand video!!! It doesn't show off Musical skill at all!!! In an age where Music on TV pretty much is gone!!! You have to find a good balance between showing off musical skills & just showing off!!!
Awesome video,but in a lot of ways it takes away a little from what he does ! You look at this & you'd never know he even plays a weird pipe instrument!
