He gave it all he had, and that alone is what makes Jason a total class act. The Echobrain project became too expensive to maintain as a solid band, even Jason admitted it during an interview. But despite the financial burden, he flew wide open with his creative style. This dude is no mere bassist for hire, he was part of Metallica and remains so still.
He will first and foremost always be the Bassist and songwriter of Flotsam & Jetsam for me. The songs he wrote in that band are better than anything he worked on with Metallica imo. Much better bassriffs, Metallica never allowed him to truly shine like he did back then.

Load has great song after great song. If your a fan of music you should be able to appreciate it. It's not going to be my "go to" or first choice or second or third. But be real. I love Slipknot and Pantera, none of that Nickelback shit so dont even bruh. It's good music if you just listen.
