Disney is our fav vacation. We always bring an empty carry on for the souvenirs for the flight home. Grab bubble fans, misting fans and ponchos from Amazon before going. Also bring 2nd pair of shoes incase they get wet from Florida rain storms.
We never waisted our time with toddler beds for our 5 boys. They grow out of them way too fast. We did twin size beds on the floor or a short frame. You can use noodles one wither side under the fitted sheet to reate a berier so he doesnt roll out of bed.
Take some baggies with you on your trip. Each morning put a cold wet washcloth in a baggie for each child. Put them in your diaper bag. This really helps cool them down if they get overheated .
I'm with you on not being ready for autumn. We've had such poor summer in the UK this year (lots of rain) and when I noticed temperatures dropping in the morning, wind picking up and less and less daylight, I felt so sad. I'm not ready for autumn at all this year!
Sue Wolfe- My parents took me to DW when it opened. That's when you had to have tickets for rides..ugh! I grew up in South Florida and went to DW often. Take snacks because food prices are crazy! One piece of advice with small children. Go to Dumbo first, please! It'll save your minds. Most folks start at the front of the park and work their way back. By the time you get to Fantasyland, where Dumbo is, there will be a 1 1/2 hrs wait and your kids will be exhausted! We'd go to the hotel about 3 pm for a nap with my kiddos and go back after a swim and dinner. No lines! Check for closing times. My kids took my grandchildren and did the same thing. It really helps! Have fun!! 🌴😎🎆❤️

Just an FYI, I have a small pink Black and Decker electric drill that my husband gave me. It has an Allen wrench attachment that makes it so easy to put things together that require an Allen wrench. I live in Minnesota and almost all schools start the Tuesday after Labor Day.

Take lots of pictures, journal on your phone, make sure you take plenty of sunscreen and rain ponchos (since it rains every day mid-afternoon). We also cut some expense by taking some of our snacks with us - those that packed well; because those things are so expensive on site. Water bottles are also great; you can fill up multiple times each day which is super helpful.
100% agree...fab fit fun was the beginning of a big problem for me. I cant believe these subscription boxes are still a thing. So expensive and a headache to get rid of the things you don't like.

I would move that chair out of Suttons room, that way he has more room and you could have put the chair out in your living room for extra seating. I would have put the book shelves where the chair was so he could reach them. Just a suggestion.

It's super smart to rent a stroller, i went when i was 10 and got in when I was tired. Get a rain cover for the stroller; It rains pretty heavily at the most random times.

I have a really pretty linen/ cotton dish towel that I have out exclusively to dry our hands since it’s pretty and then one tucked away inside the cabinet for dish drying! and my husband uses the pretty towel to dry the inside of the blender… with the blades. I get so nervous he is going to make a hole in my pretty towels lol. I tell him he should just use some paper towel to dry the inside of that
I’m curious, have your decluttering journey made you think about want v.s. need? I’m thinking it’s more of a minimalist concept and you’ve said you’re not a minimalist but I still think it’s interesting to hear your thoughts about it 😊
I also bought tattoos for my kids on our first Disney trip. It was awesome. They are now in their 20’s so I have gotten rid of the leftovers. We went to Disneyland last month. I highly recommend the electric fans that clip onto strollers. I saw them everywhere and I was so jealous wishing they were around when my kids were little!
