The Muse is an Absolute Demented Creature that Daredevil has to face off against in Daredevil Dark Arts. #comics #content #explained #explore #new #marvel #spiderman #daredevil #blindspot #muse #artist #marvelcomics
It strikes me as a very Comics Code-era scheme, in the same vein as Lex Luthor stealing 40 cakes (which is as many as four tens, and that's terrible) or Joker publishing children's report cards in the newspaper.
Disney: "Daredevil Born Again will be more lighthearted" Also Disney: *chooses a serial killer that uses blood of his victims as paint to be the main villain* Idk how they'll be able to tone this guy down and make it work unless they were lying about being lighthearted
No one at Disney has actually said the show will be more lighthearted. I could see something like Andor, where the show is mature AF for Disney+ . Muse I assume would be part of one of the 3 mini arcs spread across 6 episodes each. So I am cautiously optimistic.
I always loved the way this dude just snapped his own fingers in front of Daredevil. Just the ultimate 'fuck you.' "Oh you want to beat me up? Go ahead, it won't do anything to me."
2:14, Portraying Muse as having a perpetually soft and calm voice as if he is a machine is fantastic, like John Doe from Se7en or Hal 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey. It very accurately reflects his lines in the comic and is perfect for a character so alien in mentality to everyone else, again, like a machine with a perverse view of art and desire for recognition.
I actually bought my first comic cause of this video, i find blindspot and muse really interesting characters and thought id collect this daredevil run.
I was sad to see Muse go due to how compelling of a character he was, like you were always on the edge of your seat wondering what he'd do next but it was a glorious ending for him. He killed himself before his character could be dragged out and bland like so many other villains and he did it on his own terms. What a disturbing and phenomenal short-lived villain.
A thing in comics - and I think it's a thing the Joker goes over in a few stories - is that it doesn't matter. You could kill dozens of people, torture hundred others, threaten to blow up the city, destroy entire city blocks. But the next issue? People aren't panicing or reacting to the news. The buildings are rebuilt and everything becomes standard. So every time I read these sorta horror/gore villain stories I'm just endlessly thinking if any of them feel... a bit robbed? I know that sounds messed up. But it doesn't matter how much damage or terror they do the world continues on and nothing changes. Same with the heroes. Heroes struggle with that idea all the time. They talk about putting away so many criminals but crime keeps going, or they break out. What about the villain perspective? That would be a cool story.
I really hope the show gives off the mature energy for the character, I know Kevin said that DD will have the same tone as when it was on netflix but I still got doubts bro
I love the video on the. Marvel comic character that you're doing. It's amazing how you explain everything the origin the backstory the trauma pain everything amazing explainer teller fire 🔥 🔥
I wish they'd just start legit criticizing Muse's art like "too tryhard" "way too obvious and simple, lacks merit" and other stuff to fuck with his artist persona. Less 'b-but is immoral!' and more 'eh your art is passable I guess', that would have surely put him off balance.
A hero whose power is being super-blind. Why do his villains need to be so overly complicated? It's a cool story even if he's just a normal guy, why does he have to look like f***ing Gorr from the Thor movie?
@@itsvox4398 fair enough, though my point wasn't specifically that he looked like Gorr, just that daredevil's villains don't need weird visual gimmicks in order to be interesting.
- Why when they know they need to both go as pg as they can while also going as weird and woke as they can would they try and make such a dark and horror style villain the main baddie when its almost certain it will mean doing it a disservice...
Getting Gotham by Gaslight vibes where the ripper steps into the fire because he didn't want Batman to take him into custody. (Yeah I know who it is. Spoilers, you know.)
@@alexanderstottlemyre3679 Well, he might sensed different blood an canvas, because every person is biological unique and blood unique in some way too. Or some shit idk
The deranged murderous artist is easily one of my favourite character archetypes. The Muse, Sander Cohen from BioShock, Jhin from League of Legends. If they can pull him off in the show to be just as menacing, we're looking at possibly one of the best villains to be brought to the screen.
I mean, I already know how Disney fucked up MCU, but I'm willing to give them a chance if they really going to make a dark show using a villain like The Muse. Unless they ruin him like they did with Gorr, though Christian Bale did awesome job at playing him.
@@eugenestevenkong9430 have you seen what Disney+ did to DareDevil in She Hulk. Made him She Hulks booty call down to the shoeless walk of shame 🤦🏻♂ 🤮
Damn, Muse was morbidly unique. Speaking of dreams, last night I dreamt I was fighting Frieza in my bet and whilst he was transforming I took a coat hanger, pinned him down and sawed his head off, which I promptly threw in the toilet and flushed. Weird huh.
You attacked him while he was transforming? That's a low blow dude. Did you kick him in the dick while you were at it? Cutting off his head with a coat hanger is one thing but we need standards!
As badass and demented as this villain is, knowing the way Disney has been, either they won't adapt him at all, or make him very diluted/underwhelming. I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but with how they've been just shitting out superhero series/movies, I wouldn't be surprised if they butcher it in someway. That being said, keep up the great work. Your videos are perfect for my breaks at work
If there were ever to be another DC/Marvel crossover, this guy and Professor Pyg would make good adversaries instead of the standard Daredevil & Batman standbys.
Muse is my preferred psycho of the two due to his entire character design (looks, personality, execution (figuratively and literally)) But even I'd say Pyg is the more demented of the two, he makes me want to take a shower after I even read about him because I just feel that disgusted
>Shows up >Makes violent art >Fucks with Daredevil >Kidnaps Daredevil’s close ally >Fight Daredevil >Horrific face reveal >Shows up again >Fights blindspot >Refuses to elaborate >Kills Himself

Has to be one of your best videos keep up the great work and I am HYPED for the James Gordon Junior video he’s so twisted and I really can’t wait to see what you cover about him because this guy is creepy but JJ is a whole different breed
Really interesting villain, the Muse’s work somewhat portrays the absolute horror of the world. One that Matt can sadly still see, even as a blind man.
An insane artist that uses blood and has a face that looks like Nosferatu from hell yeah this guy definitely deserves a trial clearly he just needs to be reformed. where's Punisher when you need him 😂

Who's here from the news that Muse will be the main villain of Daredevil: Born Again?
It is interesting to see Daredevil investigate a serial killer in the Born Again series coming up ,Muse looks like a cool villain..
if they're adapting the Soule run, I really hope they bring in Blindspot too!!

I knew nothing about the character, but I found his design interesting in how simplistic it is. And I will not lie, I expected something more.
It would have been just too funny if Daredevil just decided to go and have a debate as why he find the paint itself shit
