I use super cancel all the time. Manual pass is kinda cool, but it's nowhere near as good as the modern PES games do it.
Where can i get this patch, i wanted to play this game so much. I miss this game!

I'd be up for trying WE9LE yes mate. WE8LE is possibly my favourite of the entire series.
