its because of events like these that I still have interest in drifting. I think "amature" and style based drifting is way more fun to watch than FD

Klever Media FD runs are way too short. They need to lower the cars HP by like 30% and make the runs 30% longer, I could give a fuck about tire smoke

+chase gavin it's a bit more than that - drifting is about style. You should have fun with everything you do, but the shared esthetic is why/how this event is curated. It's clearly a controversial topic in the sport.
Keep Drifting Fun i think it's more of taking something from the Jap's and Appreciating it , of what they done in the 1st place that pretty much caught many people's eye in the drifting world i myself look at the D1 cars compared to FD cars and they are 2 different worlds in when it comes to Detail.

I understand when these videos are made, they use the best clips from the day, but I find it odd that there are this many awesome drivers that no one has ever heard of.

I remember I saw the first Risky Devil video back in 2007 or 2008, so impressed to see this guys are still going strong until today. They really mimic the drift scene as seen in Japan!
I have said it before but i'll say it again; Amazing stuff guys. The video production is amazing, those camera angles are truly beautiful. My favorite was the slow pan with the yellow vert s13 ~ 3:36 . beautiful.

Such a good video man! Bringing it back to the basics, dont need a thousand hp to slide a car, all about learningto control your car and having a good ass time. Been looking into building a drift car since I was little, maybe after I finish some spring plans on the subie I'll look into one
Keep drifting fun but oh yeah if your car doesn't look nice then no one cares...??? That makes little sense to me. I feel like even if you show up with a ratcheted out drift missile, as long as you can drive like a boss it doesn't matter.
Well yeah but a drift missile is a means to get better. If you´re ace you don´t really need to show up there in a missile. Different strokes for different folks maybe? I suppose that clique wants some style, if you like missiles, have a missile event.

I don't get this logic. You've got a million "A-Bo-Moon" copies in one event.
you don't need to copy a-bo-moon to have style, still better than a bunch of missile ruiners... but seriously, not everyone needs a $1000 bodykit and $2800 wheels. I agree with that.
But we should also agree that different events can be aimed at different crowds. Let these people dhave their event with their cars. There are plenty events for less "fresh" cars. Everyone doesn´t have to be invited everywhere.

I wish there was more grass roots type drifting in Atlanta! Only thing i know of drift wise is Formula Drift here. There used to be drifting a couple years ago in the turner field parking lot but it stopped because of noise... which doesnt make sense to me but whatever xD

I have never viewed drifting as making money like FD! I do it for fun and love doing it on the side and I'm only 17 so not all the kids growing up know view it like that!

Because Ive been into drifting for a long time, and I live on the east border of Minnesota, not much drifting here :(
Anyways I get my license in December, and hopefully a 240sx in June or July(already have $2,000 saved from my old job) and I would love to get insight on how to drift and learn through grassroots to do it.

+T Scharr Yeah I know a little bit about them from a SpeedHunters article, they sounded pretty cool. I actually got to play the beta 4 Need For Speed! Very fun. Anyways yeah once I get a 240 I try and get involved in online communities like S Chassis :)
