Well airborne forces in the US army doesn't have tough physical standards in order for you to get the opportunity to jump from a plane, as long as you're not too afraid of heights. But its different in some other countries paratroopers
Like Israeli paratroopers are more like 75 ranger regiment of the US army, considering they have an actual selection and training period which ends with like a 90 mile march. That's something most of these women couldn't do , infact most of the soliders of 82nd airborne can't do that , if they could they would most likely be in 75th ranger regiment.
Same goes for the Parachute Regiment of British army, you need to clear a selection process even before your airborne school training can begun which is unlike the very basic stuff u need to do to qualify for US army airborne school
Unfortunately, they lower the standard for women which puts our men in bigger danger. I would love to see a woman go through the entire thing with men standards, no excuses. I would love to praise her if she does, but I can stand to watch photo shoots just to push an agenda. the woman struggled just to get a few lines pulled back into a plane and it wasn't even a full jump. Say what you folks want but they lower the standard for women and that is very dangerous!!!!
As a military veteran in the British Army who served 22 years in Airborne Forces, served alongside US, Canadian and other International Forces, and as a qualified military parachutist, it is great to see fellow paratroopers doing their job!

I wasn't in armed conflict, but I have to be ready for anything. I'll bet that you never served your country and all you do is sit in front of your computer and play video games. I'll bet you have a job that you sit in an office and go to the gym a few times a week. So, I rather see these soldiers being prepared and served their country, which I can say for you.

Fantastic video. Pilots, Loadmasters, jump masters and jumpers all female. I was active USAF from 1967 to 1976 and mostly saw females working only in office and medical fields. I spent 1976 to 2018 working as a civilian contractor on USAF programs and saw females move into almost every job. You all have all my respect!

I'm an US Army retired master blaster having served RVN (173d Abn Bde), 82d Abn Div (2/504th) and twice with the 8thID (2/509th). It does my heart good to see these women doing combat equipment jumps when doing these training jumps. This is obviously a PR jump but the fact that they did it with CE gear lets people know, these ladies are serious and not here to play. Congratulations.
I love this all female operation from the USAF ground and flight crews to every woman on the aircraft. Most of my 23 years was served at Ft Bragg/Liberty. Father of 3 daughters and I always told them they could be and do anything. I can remember when the first woman arrived in the 82d Airborne Division and we were shocked. Never imagined it happening. I have jumped Sicily DZ many many times; even broke a few bones there and walked a few tree tops. Had the pleasure of being one of the initial test jumpers for the C-17. That new chute was after my time but everything else reminds me of many good memories. Congratulations to all these fine military ladies and Thank You for your service.
This is the way it should be though instead of trying to mix…most countries have female divisions or wings here we try to mix everyone together and say differences only exist in the mind which is untrue our differences make us great finding away we can all work together that benefits everyone is what we should strive for.

I can't think of a way to take the steam out of the military than to saturate combat arms with women. One day, as these numbers of women increase and standards are either watered down, eliminated or in some other way screwed up (like years -long screwed up army PT test), we slowly, quietly won't be prepared to fight a peer opponent...and we'll simply yield. And that'll be it. And the real reason will never be spoken of, even if it leads to massive defeat.
I get what you are saying but it just isn’t true. If we didn’t lower standards most women couldn’t serve in the armed forces. Men in general are just naturally bigger and stronger than women. I am about to be a father of a daughter and I want the best for her but I am also not going to lie to her.

Nothing is proven to let well-hung men to compete as females. Letting a 56-year-old man to swim with 12-year-old girls and dress in their dressing room is stupid and harmful.

For me, the best part of the jump is when you’re under a good canopy, the jump aircraft is gone, and the only sound is the sometimes flapping of the canopy. Enjoy the ride and the view for a bit, then get busy with finding the best spot to land.

Great to watch. Nervous looks on facws just like the blokes have. Its not easy. The Globemaster. What a difference to a c130. The exit door is huge. so much space for everything. including the ground hanger. typical america. I jumped with 82nd and 5 SFG from Fort Campbell Kentucky. Many moons ago. Happy memories indeed. Wish I had jumped from a Globemaster.
The I.D.F. is not the only military to have "bad-ass women fighters!" The U.S. does also!!!! As we are watching here! You GO girls.............. Get some!!!!!! I have been in one of these C-17's. Inside them appears that you could play basketball if there were baskets in it! A massive airplane.

And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
8:00 " exhilaration of freefall is unlike anything else" , while the image is paratroopers are jumping off static lines. There is no freefall involved in static line jumps.
Anytime you see those huge bags for the parachute with yellow 'line' webbing at the top- their jumping low altitude ( no time for freefall), with huge canopies. They clamp that yellow webbing to the plane & as they jump out, they reach the end of that 'rope' which pulls out the parachute for them. The static is standard military practice to deploy large numbers of paratroopers/equipment at once. Its also one form of civilian skydiving training ( although not a common/popular option).
With jumps involving freefall, youll never see a static line set up. They will jump at higher altitudes, deploy their own parachutes and those parachutes are packed very compact, secure without stuff loose or otherwise exposed to the 120mph speed in freefall.
The parachute being used, is the clear indicator between static line or freefall jumps.
Its definitely exhilarating flying canopies as well, freefall is not necessary, to have fun with parachutes, ask any skydiver ;)
I think you may be just missing a trick here mate if you think the Military don't deploy square canopies on a static line... Or make an immediate deployment of a canopy having just left the aircraft... Just an observation 👍👍🪂🪂
@@carldowd406 Correct, it was not a clear statement, that the parachute being used would determine if it's a static line or pilot chute deployed. My thoughts were focused on these parachute deployment bags- not being free fall friendly & being static line deployed. I did not express that very clearly.
Actually, I personally haven't seen these large #s of static line deployments on square parachutes in the military. They were smaller numbers of soldiers. Perhaps tactical units, various special forces. Come to think of it, the only time I've seen large #s of skydivers with square parachutes were various civilian record attempts.
All airborne training goes through this , speciial forces excellence is expected. Male or female, for those who make it to the end Rock! Whoo Raaa!

I para jumped from C-123, about 50 years ago. Compare to C-17, C-17 side door jump board is much improved safely.

I witnessed paratroopers from the ground. As we looked into the cloudless blue sky all of a sudden, a plane appeared. Then what looked like "birds" started jumping from the plane. These "birds" were aiming straight to the ground, at top speed, then parachutes began deploying And it became clear that what at first looked like "birds, were actually people. We were so excited. I think everyone landed in the dropzone. We took pictures...both young men and women. It was so cool.

This is so impressive to watch. All the planning and coordination of all moments leading to take off and later the jump. I've just watched the part when they get strapped to the gear and everything checked by colleagues(?). I almost watched this and panicking because I would a 100% need to go to toilet for number 2 when it's time for entering the airplane..
