Respectfully, Is there a reason they didn't tighten the final bolts holding the outer casing on in a star pattern?

They couldn't get it to go back together. If you keep that in mind. Then go back and watch it from the start. Even with a lite background with general mechanics, you'll notice that rings were not put into the bore, bolt holes wouldn't line up, and bearings needed to be put back in with a hammer. (They do kind of use a hammer for almost everything already.) You know what you're doing. This isn't for people like you. Smart mechanics.
