Lifelong Indiana Jones fan here: I’m praying this game will be a knockout. As a franchise, I don’t think Indiana Jones has gotten the treatment it’s deserved and it didn’t help by the disastrous fifth film (and this is coming from someone who likes Crystal Skull). I’m hoping this game might be the start of a new era for Indy in the world of video games. Poor guy deserves it after the bs he’s been through the past few years

I really want this game to be stuffed with secret passages, treasures since it's focused on Adventure. I wanna walk through a lot of caves with a torch lighting the way and find rooms full of shiny gold.
This looks solid. Watching this gameplay footage (especially when it was from Marshall College) made me want this exact type of game but set in a Lovecraftian atmosphere. Relics, museums, thunder storms, mysterious figures. It's one reason why I love Indy.

ohhhh this looks so good. can you imagine if video game technology had reached this level back in the 80s when Raiders or Temple Of Doom came out. I mean it just looks like a continuation of the films - for guys in their 40s like me who grew up on these films, this is just the perfect game. Fate of Atlantis was one of my childhood-defining games. So I'm super hyped for this! I love Indy, and was let down by the last two film outings quite a bit, so it's exciting to see this game shaping up to be good!

Not really imo. There hasn't been a vr app that I was super excited for since skyrim vr. Resident evil 4 remake vr is definitely an exception but it's sony exclusive. I'm on pc...
I get it's trying to be more of an adventure game, but the combat feels really tacked on. It has that early PS3/360 feel where you just punch and it looks like you hit the air or through the enemy and they always react the same.
I think this looks a tad clunky, but I'm so on board with this old school adventure type game to break up the dark, heavy drudge of most modern games. I'll grab on PC for mods....

They got Gordy Haab to compose. He made a name in the industry creating scores that sound a lot like Williams. If you've played the new EA Battlefront games or Jedi Survivor, you've heard Haab's work. Either completely new melodies or remixes of existing Williams tunes.
I love when Studios try new formulas. Too many gamers want all games to be the same if they are in the same genre. Can't tell you how many times i've heard people say Indy should have been like Uncharted and Tomb Raider. No it shouldn't! Le the Studio make what they want.
The founding members of MachineGames, all worked on The Chronicles of Riddick at Starbreeze, and you can see that lineage in every frame of the gameplay. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle looks like a true successor to The Chronicles of Riddick... Its gonna be very special!!
I don't think Indy will score all that well because change scares people but I think people will grow to respect it over time and become a huge cult classic. It's fun and unique take on 1st person.
An indiana jones game even remotely having stuff similar to the original Thief games is so great. The stealth system and mechanics in Thief 1/2 are still largely unmatched.

This sounds like my dream game! Also: really nice that developers dont just shoehorn an IP into an existing game framework (Ubisoft did tzhis lazy approach with Avatar and SW Outlaws, both worse, soulless reskins of their other games) but INSTEAD make a game that meshes with its subject matter.
Setting this game up like an immersive sim (something akin to Deus Ex or Riddick in terms of design) is a great approach for this. This looks much more involved than I would have thought from initial trailers.
I’m genuinely excited for this. I loved Wolfenstein 1&2, so I’m really excited to see what Machine Games does with Indy. Also, the “Lucky Hat” skill sounds like an absolutely perfect way to gamify Indy’s iconic hat. I already got it pre installed on my Xbox and can’t wait to check it out.
Glad the Wolfenstein company is making this, the graphics and story are gonna be dope! I just wish the lasso/rope was quicker cause it looks kinda slow

Well actually Indy was only a professor at Marshall College in Raiders of the lost Ark (1936), from Last Crusade (1938) to Crystal skull (1957) He’s at Barnett college.
I really hope this does well so hopefully Disney and Lucasfilm will continue the franchise in other mediums like a comic book or animated series and understand that it doesn’t fully revolve around Harrison Ford.

What I really adore about this game judging by everything I saw so far - it's very interactive, and this aspect alone is enough for me to get it day-one. Gameplay looks very fun, and it's the most important. I love good stories and art-direction/visuals either but it's always the gameplay-first principle for me. Indie looks and feels awesome! I wish more games were like this during the age of dead open-worlds and primitive gameplay loops with basic combat and plain-stupid stealth without any fun manipulations.
Fantastic. The day that Tomb Raider went from being an adventure-action game to an action-adventure game I stopped caring about it. So this is great news.
It's not a matter of opinion - it was literally a flop. It didn't make its money back. That's the definition of a flop. That said, as a life long Indy fan, I can't say it in any way lived up to the original 3 films.

It's not a matter of opinion - it was literally a flop. It didn't make its money back. That's the definition of a flop. That said, as a life long Indy fan, I can't say it in any way lived up to the original 3 films.
I just hope the combat isn’t too easy. The AI doesn’t look very smart. Lol
