I would be the first person that would be alllwed to complain, because I literally only get/got (not sure, didn't rly play this and last season) people with fresh accounts and 70-90% wr because my main acc only got like 15-40 rankeds each season with high mmr. Maybe not anymore, but used to be like that and I couldn't care less. You literally have the same chance of getting a smurf in your team and it's not like 90% of those games have some D2+ smurf, but mostly some emerald smurf.
It's a very real problem in league. I'm playing with diamond and emerald players in EUW and easily 75% of the time a lane is getting absolutely stomped to hell or griefing the game, it's a lvl 32 account that was unranked last season. And it goes both ways, almost all the time someone trolls or ragequits it's because he doesn't care of his "smurf" account, and almost everytime someone hardstomps and plays way above his skill level it's because it's a master/challenger smurf roflstomping with hard soloQ carries... It wasn't always this bad, but it feels like the amount of smurfs has more than quintupled in the last few seasons.@@Tudas
Even if it is not the same of game at ALL the osu case is very special as well, since your ranking is based on you ranking in world and smurfs would totally ruin the concept. Not a single smurf is allowed, if you smurf to much your main can be ban but especially, their is a REAL battle against smurf (and spotting a smurf is VERY easy since)
this improves the skills and ego of the playerbase, this means that ranked is actually more fair. just get better than those smurfs, play more if you wanna get good

As someone who has very good aim but usually lacks in movement mechanics, I usually have no problem with the smurf himself if I get my movement down for once... Where I do struggle then is that the rest of my team cannot deal with the smurf. So if I have a smurf widow in my OW games, I usually have no problem just clicking her head over and over. But until she shows up in my line of sight, she already has killed all of my team due to simply having better movement and game specific awareness than me

I never hide the fact im smurfing and always admit it when asked. Across around 20 accounts on multiple platforms i have NEVER had a single ban or warning. There is literally nothing to prevent any smurfing

That is a reasonable take, but many players already do that for tournament play, so having an option for "verified queue" or something like that isn't too farfetched? There should be an option without for sure though.

Smurfing is copium to high elo players to ensure their ego stays high, nothing else.

Well it's demoralizing. Having a smurf in every 5th game makes a visible change in your winrate(either upwards or downwards)
