hey professor ive recently changed my major to computer science and im relearning math from college algebra onwards. ive been using your videos primarily and theyre massively helpful! open up your shirt shop soon please!
Professor Leonard ,thank you for another lengthy video/lecture on How to Use the Double and Half Angle Formulas in Trigonometry. These powerful formulas are always useful in all technical subjects. They are also easy to memorize/remember and derive from scratch. Depending upon the given problem, working within different quadrants can be problematic.
@@ВикторСтефанов-ш5р I didn't see any issue with the factoring itself. (2u+1)(u-1)(=2u^2-u-1). However, I suppose I forgot my diamond method factoring rules and conventions. After looking them up I will have to correct myself. I thought he misspoke when he said -2 and not positive 2 (because I thought he was just taking the values not finding the product of 2 and negative 1). I haven't really used said method so this is a good learning moment. Thanks for the reply.
I didn't find anything wrong as I paused the video and done it by myself got the same values .... only made an error by taking other values of theta.... later found the limit that it should not be equal to 2pi....
Hi everyone, I do have this question that really confusing me. If I square cosine half angle and add sine half angle it will be =1 Also if I square cosine and add sine will be equal same as half angle =1 Can somebody tell me what it is?
Thank you very much for the precalculus lecture Professor Leonard. I came to this class as I realized that I can't continue calculus 2 without it.
Ik u won’t see this but ur a ducking legend the star of calculus
It's so cool how you can find different trig functions with identities
Prof Leonard does not age. He'll last forever 🌷
Thankful he found teaching early on in his life, which hopefully gives him plenty of time to continue his great work.
Thank you! You are an absolute hero.

Hello at 53:11 when you do cos(22.5) when you used the half angle formula, why did you plug in cos(45) in the formula instead of cos (22.5) ?
Slight correction @ 1:15:29 for your factoring tree. It should be positive 2 not negative two. Your factoring otherwise was correct.
You are saying that 2 * -1 = 2?

Raise your hand if you're watching this for Calc 2 and not trig. 🙋🏼♀️
In the second angle should tan(theta/2) be positive?
Very nice 👍👍
Is their an update when linear algebra might be coming?
I can tell you a professor with a full linear algebra course ..
@@bunny4173 you didn't tell

How did you know cos theta = 3/5. Is in Q1?
