I wasn't very happy come June as getting back to school from covid had been hard on me as I found it difficult to connect and make friends with others due to restrictions. That was until one night I was playing some stupid online game when I saw a mutual friend had joined and me being confused as to who it was just continued playing with them, After a bit I decided to ask who it really was come to find out it was someone I was friends with from school a few years back. He invited me to join a discord server with some friends and after that we all hit it off me and those 4 boys had the best summer ever. We spent every waking moment talking on the phone, playing online games, or at each others houses. They were some of the first people I felt I could truly be myself and no matter what they had my back they didn't care I was a girl they treated me the same as they would each other. They filled any void I had at the time and I am so thankful I spent over a year with them I wish we were all still friends and hadn't gone in separate directions.
