When any Neta BECOMES FIRST MC,MLA OR MP he is showing his income as lakh Pati but after 5 year or more be becomes crorpati. How this huge income comes from and this income is non taxable. It is an injustice with law abiding tax payers who pay income tax first and from the remaining income he spent pay 18% Gst and other taxes as Property tax, water & sewage tax, Road tax, Toll tax, and many others. In this way about than 50% of the remaining is paid to Government. So I suggest that tax rates should be decreased an all the political should also be taxed.

Baad mein koi amendment ya clarification ki jarurat nahi padegi. Sirf agricultural income par tax nahi lagayegi sarkar kabhi bhi. Kyunki majority politicians on paper agriculturists hai
Tax burden has increased in last 10 years . Compliance burden has also increase . Tax laws have become become very complex and confusing. There is urgent need for reducing complications , burden and make real simplifications.

Sir, upto what amount the amount of income from PENSION/salary is exempt, because there's no provision of any Deduction,./investment etc.(except EEE ___EXEMPT, EXEMPT, EXEMPT(in Direct TAX CODE which is applicable in Financial Year 2025. It's appreciable that the Concept of A Y/F.Y has been finished

This government is proving to be quite disruptive for middle class long term savings.
The government if citizen - friendly then it should stop ppf scheme and allow to withdraw the full accumulated corpus before this ACT is imposed on citizens.

Direct tax main transaction tax hona chahiye. No income tax, no ITR. We don't want to file ITR and do all calculations. Deduct tax on what is paid and let the govt keep track. People should not be asked to file anything particularly senior citizens should be exempted from filing any report card. Let the govt officials do it.

@@thedreamer935 cash will be available for small payments only. Do u mean people will keep huge cash at home. That they do even now, but if govt keeps only small notes of Rs 100, then cash transactions will be difficult. There r hundred other ways to find an alternative to income tax if the govt means but they don't amend the act to include agricultural income above a certain threshold in to income tax. All black money is shown as agri income and tax is avoided. It needs a change and govt needs to act fast. Govt is getting 30% revenue by way of income tax and this burden is shared by 5% people. Why not 50%

Jai Bheem friends. Will this new tax code reduce taxes? As far as I can see, Nirmala will use this direct tax code to increase direct taxes on salaried people like me.
The Congress+ govt from 2004 to 2014 raised the income tax limits every year by 5/6 percent, plus minus something with inflation. But bjp govt has not increased this limit in 11 years, inspite of inflation.
