Start reading books.. Like cengage Or any other good reference book and try to understand topics on your own... Start by reading some old topics then go for new ones... You will be able to understand if you try... And visualize every line... It is possible.. I now am able to solve good questions.. And was at one point at the same position as you...

Sach kahu toh nishant bhaiya sahi keh rhe hai ki humey concept samajhkar questions jyada practice karne chahiye ye technique bhi bohot time saving ho sakti hai but bata nhi sakte ki sabke lie applicable hai ya nahi so the best way to find out is to try this technique for 1-2 days and see if thhis helps you specifically because not everyone follow this technique will crack IIT
i am an average student so i will just try to study with this technique and will let you all know but thanks nishant bhaiya if this works it will be tremendiusly poweful for sure

Bhaiya here;s what i do: I make complete notes of a chapter with teacher.. like not missing even a single thing, BUT in my own words.. Then after that chapter is done (all the questions+ PYQS) NOW, i make short notes, writing down only important things which i now know what is important by doing the questions of that chapter.. And so, in the future, i just look at the short notes( which is generally 1 or 2 pages max.) and i am able to revise that chapter completely, and idk, throw those "complete notes" in the bin or smth
So, am i doing it right?
U can use those notes for questions as teachers solve impt questions in class

what about printed notes from video lectures. How about we make notes, just a few lines on top of the printed notes? And as far as revision is concerned, we can take a separate sheet, write the name of the topic and try to recall the concepts/?
