I just want the free kicks to be consistent like in Fifa 16. I do the same thing every time and most of the time the ball goes in a completely different direction. In Fifa 16 I was able to consistently hit the post and score but now I'm lucky if the ball doesn't fly into the air.
Used this guide and tried the first free kick and scored a belter with Santi Cazorla. Curler with the right foot round the wall and straight into the top right corner. Thanks for the tips 👍🏾
If yall are having trouble drawing FK, use the fake shot with no sprint. Hold down shoot (B or O) then quickly pass (A or X) and move the right stick opposite of where the defender is standing. More often then not they do a standing tackle and you get the call.
Bro if you don't mind- do this tutorial again after first patch... Definitely keeper positioning and movements gonna get better from Demo mode. For now any thing if executed properly is going in

1st. Set the players to go for far post. 2nd. With the yellow indicator go on the far top of 5m space corner. (Edit) 3rd. Hit the ball with full power. I hope that helps :)

Changing the free kick taken resets the player positions. So just line it up quickly. Or call a second man and pass to him and you get a free shot or dribble on goal
Okay, so I’ve been complaining about free kicks a lot in this game but I finally figured out how to make them 100 times easier but currently at the time of this comment short range free kicks online are glitched that makes them blast the ball into the crowd the same thing goes for pens some times. So here’s the something Ovvy missed out in which he probably meant as watching the video. It’s all in the attempt to add curve that everyone messes up in which you try to time when when you shoot as well as adding curve don’t do that. Hold the left stick in the direct you’re aiming and when you’re applying power just roll the left to the top right to add curve to the right for a right footed players, roll the left stick to the left to apply curve to the left and for dipping free kicks just hold the left stick in the direction you’re aiming and load 1 and a half bars and that should make them a lot more consistent but remember that currently the short range free kicks and pens are glitched.
If you want I’ll make a channel and make a my very first video but it will only be a video of my controller with my phone. Let me know if you guys would like that.

While doing a curve free kick and changing the angle I can't understand the aim you show it'd be more helpful if you use a line directed from the ball .

I am playing against to my friend and he always see where I am aiming and he selects his goalkeeper and moves him there to catch it easily. I had an issue with the power curved free kick. If I press L1 while shooting, then it becomes a driven free kick. It gets grounded. It does not even go in air.
I have a question.... when you hit you left analog stick does it have to be like REALLY quick to get maximum curve? Or can it be a little delayed because I’m in training and I think there’s a different but I’m not sure

I've did that in FIFA 18 before only one time by Neymar it's damn hard.
I scored one goal from the corner in FIFA 17. It is very hard.
1st. Set the players to go for far post.
