Skulltaker looks so damn dapper with his skull cloak. The most fashion-conscious Khornate character we've had, really. I was pretty excited to play him to begin with, and it looks like he's not going to disappoint, joining the Lustria Thunderdome like that, and his mechanic being trait-hunting, but I think I'm most excited to see how Gorbad's campaign mechanic works out. I'm also looking forward to playing a mercenary wild-card as Demonetized Maneater.
Honestly the name makes sense tho. Both Greenskins and Ogres used to be part of the Destruction "grand alliance". (According to the older Warhammer Fantasy: Online MMORPG trailer, the WH Fantasy world was divided in 4 great alliances: Order, Chaos, Undeath and Destruction. Dunno if it ever was anywere else.)
@@MaledictGaming Thats how the factions are divided in AoS. In Warhammer Online its Order (Empire, High Elves and Dwarfs) against Destruction (Chaos, Orcs & Goblins and Dark Elves). i am really excited for the ogres. i always stop right before i start a new campaign as them because it feels like they just have neither anything important to do, nor have they all too exciting units and battles. i really hope the dlc makes them a that little bit more exciting that they need for me.
Three races I love all getting content at the same time is a big win! Genuinely surprised at the lack of Big Stabbas but hopefully that means another DLC is in the pipeline for Orks before the end
Gorbad is the one I'm most looking forward to, but I'm most looking forward to the patch. I'm curious how older factions will get juiced up. I'm guessing my boy Skarsnik will get neglected until they decided to reward the Eight Peaks mechanic as a whole though. It's also be nice if Valkia had some of her Khorne mechanics shaken up, since she got the more boring part of her monogod counterpart.
If (by the looks of it) Skulltaker takes over the area currently held by Clan Spittel, I hope they adjust Gor-Rok's Mace quest (currently "Sack/Raze 3 different Skaven settlements"), because with just Skrolk there, beset from all sides, that might become VERY hard to achieve.
Bit worried CA is stretching themselves thin here cuz the trailer looks hastily cut together and they almost missed the november deadline they set. Makes me believe the lords of shang-yang leaks were true and this was a quick hard pivot other than that i just dislike Black orc (axe & shield) is part of this dlc and not just free unit like the other variants we got recently
Agree, this trailer was one of the weakest in the lot and seemed to have no real thread, more like a fanfic showcase. Stuff added on paper seems good enough though.
Trailer was a bit odd compared to some of them but all in all the content looks amazing. Probably doing an Arbaal run first since ive played Khorne the least.
I wonder if they'll give Gorbad Wurrzag's current start position and move Wurrzag over to the Isthmus of Lustria. Firstly, the Northern Badlands are already very crowded with LLs (Thorgrim, Wurrzag, Skrag, Skarsnik, Queek, Malagor, and Skarbrand around the corner, and Belegar and Ungrim also tending to expand there). On the other hand, Greenskins are woefully underrepresented in the New World, with the Blue Vipers simply acting as punching bags for Yuan Bo and/or Mazdamundi. The great Savage Orc shaman taking over would spice things up in Lustria and ease Badlands congestion.
well we already know that Wurrzag is moving to the southern jungles (around where tiqtaqto is) so I can see Gorbad taking the badlands position for sure.
Skullreapers make me hope we're going to get another Nurgle DLC with Blightkings, pox maggoth, and the Glottkin. Probably would never happen but I hope for it.
I've never been a fan of Khorne personally, but both Ogres and Greenskins have me super excited - hell, even just Colossal Squigs alone would have had me excited! - looking forward to this for sure. Hope they don't mess with the prices though.
I am pumped for all 3 my first ever race I started with was the orcs loved when the demons dropped in 3! So awsome to see even more demons lol and I love the ogres but they did need a reworks and should play like chaos camps that move along as you go
I knew Gorbad was going to take Balthasar's old area. That is the area he destroyed in lore so it made perfect sense. It also opens the door to the Greenskins vs Dwarves dlc I have been predicting. Gorfang Rotgut ruler of Black Crag vs Kazador Dragonslayer ruler of Karak Azul. One of the actual few lore rivalry dlcs they can do left.
I.. don't think there was anything in the trailer or blog post which suggested Gorbad will start in Solland? I think that's very unlikely, he'll probably start in either the Southern Realms or the Northern Badlands. His power base in the lore was Iron Rock.
@@Foodisgood No... no, it's doesn't. It shows him attacking Averheim from the south east, which is roughly where Blackfire Pass is located - which was his loreful invasion route into the Empire, and Averland was his first target. If you look at that section, it's also turn 57 - they're clearly hinting that invading the Empire will be a mid-game thing for his campaign, it seems to me. Given Gorbad's entire thing in lore is that he lead one of the most devestating invasions of the Empire, it would be extremely weird if they started him as already established within the Empire's borders.
I am actually really glad the new spider is blue. Not only does it break up the colour scheme of Greebskin armies. Ut helps for ease of readability for both the player controlling it and anyone they play against. Being about to quickly identify which big spider is which is so important
