This is a performance of incredible power. The singer, Origa, is in full effect on this piece. Her voice SHIMMERS with etheral light. And bonus - The writer of this beautiful piece, The LEGENDARY genius composer/musician Yoko Kanno is conducting the orchestra. This is artistry at it's absolute best

A beautiful singer with an unique voice that fades from this life... Origa has shared with us many things... She has inspired many of us... #RestInPeace
I just found out that Origa died after searching up some of her songs that I loved after they popped into my head. That's fucking sad. What a voice, what a woman. I suppose it was only news among Russia and Japan since I don't watch much anime anymore. RIP Origa.
Damn, I always come listen to this song in my favorites and it has been a bit since I have listened. Then come to see she has passed away to R.I.P Origa. This is so sad!
I was sitting at my desk working and got the news of her passing. Stopped everything. An angel had transitioned. I sat quietly in reflection to honor her
This makes me teary eyed. She has a voice of a angel and her voice is so beautiful that words can't describe how much beauty she sings. She is also a beautiful woman! 😍😍😍😍😍😍R.I.P Origa.

I credit Yoko Kanno for her musical genius, but I also believe the vocalist is amazing. The two should not be thought of individuals, but rather two parts of a whole. They both make the song with their own respective skills, not one or the other. That being said, this song is simply beautiful.
her voice is like brought from an angel her lyrics writen by god's poet and the music composed along with life. this music feels like a touch of greatness.
Man... You know that when once in a while someone writes a piece of music that's so beautiful it makes you cry snot bubbles out of joy? Something that makes you happy for being able to listen to it? Because it hits you right in the feels with it's melody alone? Yoko Kanno wrote at least four of those for me... I mean - she didn't write them for me of course, but at least for of her tunes are almost guaranteed to get me super-emotional each time I listen to them. This one being one of them. She's an amazing composer. Add Origa's voice to it... Perfection.
@MangaAddict86 It's a language Gabriela Robin/Yoko Kanno made up called Gablish. She combined elements of latin, japanese, chinese, the scandanavian languages, and a few others. Basically sounds she found pleasing to use in music. I'm told it actually has a basic structure and functions like a language on its own, but I don't know for sure. When my friend and I translated this, we had a japanese version of the same song to go by.
Origa is the eighth wonder of the world. Yoko Kanno is a Goddess... Beautiful. Also, I agree with the person who spoke about the little.. I don't know what to call her... mascot? in the video.. At first I thought it was a good idea to have someone there express the feeling in the song, but they could have done better with the design. Amazing, just amazing.
Ольга Витальевна Яковлева Ольга(Olga) is a Russian singer song writer. Olga debuted in Japan. So she spells her name Origa in Japanese Roman character. I have heard so.
Beautiful.. Im glad I stumbled across this. Its crazy how music can reach right down into your heart and make you remember something that you cant really put your finger on, but you know is there none the less...
It is true, Kanno is genius, and as such the decisions she makes in whom to collaborate with would be for whatever desired effects her brilliance in any specific piece calls for. In other words she recognizes talent and genius in others, and utilizes this to grand effect, here with Origa.
I'd love to someday meet her, I have most of her songs and soon during spring break i'll be getting her album!!! She really is a goddess!! I would follow her to eternity if I could. Her songs are beautiful as they are memorable! I will always love Olga!!!
Ok, many singers will probably kill me for this but one way to obtain it is to move rapidly your head and neck (0:44 for instance); your voice will "skip" briefly (i think your vocal cords will be too far apart to resonate). If you manage to change the note you're singing during that brief moment, when your voice will "come out" again, your voice will have skipped. Many singers (Imogen Heap comes to mind) can achieve it without doing this, though and Origa just did it once in this song too.
@HEADSHOT09 It's actually a combination of two songs, both of which have the same melody, but different lyrics. These songs are Moon and Tsuki no Mayu, the former being an insert song, and the latter being the second ending song, from Turn A Gundam. A quick little note about Turn A Gundam is that it was supposed to end Gundam as a franchise...then they brought in Gundam Seed and it was terrible for most of the 00s.
RIP Origa. You were an awesome singer.
WHAT...Holy shit, no way!

Hi, is it possible to find a good recording of this song?
out of all the crap that is called music now a days, it is so awesome to be refreshed to come back to a wonderful pure voice like Origa's
God speed, Origa. May the Valkyries bring you to Valhalla as they sing your beautiful songs. You are gone now from this earth, but your music will forever be here.

the depth of the melody is like a reflection of Yoko's own child-like honesty with the world.

I love listening to both Origa and Yoko. My favorite vocalists hands down.
Apparently she did that, Rise, and Torukia at a Ragnarock concert a year or so ago, I've been trying to find it but no luck yet,
