Glyph interface is an absolute gimmick for someone like me, because I always use a good back cover, and for my Call notification my flash blinking holds up for it. So nothing phone 1 is sort of gimmicky for me.
But most phone goes not use the high processor in phone about 50-80% is being used because the data it can use is to much for the space it is equipped for (cooling system play a major role) and their are no improvement on design in last 5 years or so (meaning in the rectangular system) the size can not increase further that the gaming phone because then it is not a mobile. So 778g+ or 870 processors check how they are implemented. I suggest you watch mrwhosetheboss video on Samsung sandal on how they control the performance of the phone to view higher in test mark apps and user will never get the performance on actual usage.
The biggest BIGGEST mistake by Nothing is not bundling the charger. I mean even if they priced the phone 1k higher and included it in the box, people wouldn't mind that much. But removing the charger has that psychological affect that I am getting scammed of sorts. Edit - Also Iqoo is wayyy cheaper than Nothing, like almost 8-9k if we consider discounts on iqoo and accessories for nothing (which you do need)
Iqoo is cheaper because it's now an established brand that came out of the sub brand of Vivo. Whereas nothing is a brand new company who's asset is way smaller then any brand out there. Nothing will be generating profit from this way of selling and from a business perspective it's absolutely not wrong. Afterall every brands wants profit.

That makes difference in pricing also. Second there's a difference between overpriced and Agressive Price. Nothing fits in between this. It's not over priced but not agressive price like Chinese company offers. Price to performance ratio matters and it's fits in that. Unlike Pixel devices or some old samsung devices which were sold overpriced in the market because there price to performance ratio was too less. NOTHING phone 1 provides more then other brands are offering. Chipset is not everything to compare with there's more with design and constructing it to live. Nothing had to offer competitive price + making their profit at same time. Unlike Google's Pixel 6a being one of the biggest tech company is coming back to India with a heavily overpriced phone. So don't reply unless you know these internal facts.
IQOO Neo6 Even because of funtouch os And less 5g band supported I would prefer Neo 6 1. Charger in the box 2. SD870 3. Decent camera with good selfies 4. 4k60fps 5. Better stereo speakers 6. Bigger screen (especially for gaming) 7. More service center (after listening of all the cases occur to Nothing Phone 1).
Yes, side punchole makes a difference for me. I really prefer it over center punchole as it looks more cleaner & notification bar looks better (complete ) with no breaks in between.
Yes you are right that side punch hole looks really clean and less intrusive while watching videos but it have a selfie issue which I have noticed while taking selfie in my OnePlus 8 pro is tha it always looks a bit left sided which sometimes looks really annoying.
I am using Iqoo Neo 6 for last month. Fun Touch OS experience is not as bad as you people on youtube shout in your videos. Its smooth and good, never had any issues, no lags. Its as good as MIUI13, Realme OS or Oppo Color OS. Its all comes down to personal choice. I personally like MIUI and can live happily even with Realme OS or Fun Touch or Color OS. I found the security updates from Iqoo to be super fast. I am on July security patch in July month. Hope Iqoo continues to be as quick in future too.
I think Nothing targets phone 1 for people who want premium experience in mid range price like wireless , rw charging , metal glass body , best haptics , tactile buttons , symmetrical bezels display , unique design with glyph lights , etc . and Iqoo targets Neo 6 for people who want best value for money phone which is a better thing according to me. 👌👌👌👍👍👍

If clean software is priority Moto's my UX is the best with many extra features and customisations. Personally I like the design of the nothing phone 1 when the glyph is off 😅 I want a balanced phone with aluminium frame and square edges. wireless charging is important for me Good battery life is really important for me! Already surviving on 18w charging so 33w isn't a problem....Looks like Nothing Phone 1 isn't for everyone but there are some people ...like me

@Abhijith S yes stabilization might note be best right now but believe me a premium experience with a great in hand feel, display everything. Above everything, a clean UI. Hope it will get all the bugs resolves as soon as possible. I like oppo UI but MIUI and FuntouchOS are the worst.
I'll definitely say the UI experience and the smoothness on the iqoo Neo 6 does bother sometimes and moreover with the 13 update it does bother more but day to day use its a super good phone and with a back cover it feels comfortable in-hand

In my opinion - 1. Glyph interface is a gimmick. Practically it's useless. You can use the display for all the things Glyph interface does!!!! 2. If the LED fails the phone will look ugly. 3. No charger inside the box means you have to add around 1500 to it's price!!!! 4. Wireless charging is not a big deal in my opinion as it's very slow. It's not like 40-50w wireless charging which is a big deal. 5. Poor CPU. As a photographer I usually edit my 4k60fps footage of DJI pocket 2 on my phone(for social media). Also I edit lots of images on the go to post on social media. For which I definitely need a powerful CPU. 6. Cameras are decent enough on both the phones but 4k60fps is a deal for many people who shoot a lot of videos. Post processing isn't a big issue as there are too many 3rd party apps which help to colour correct your image like Lightroom, Snapseed. For capturing good colours we can use Gcam port. 7. There are too many complaints about Nothing phone 1 on social media. 8. Nothing OS is better. IQOO has a lots of bloatware but you can uninstall it and that is a good thing. 9. Multimedia is better on IQOO. 10. In current sale IQOO 9 SE is better deal than both the phones currently!!!!
Nothing is no match to neo 6. Wireless charging is basically useless right now, primarily bcoz its slow and inefficient (lot of energy lost as heat). Also i feel stock android is overrated. There are many cool features that brands add in their UI which you miss out on stock android. Bloatware is a nuisance but if it can be uninstalled then it should not be an issue.
That extra price for just some more experience in Nothing phone(1) is not worth it considering it still lacks the accessories needed to be used along with the phone which can take the effective price even higher

Oh god, so thanks for this video. Tbh the biggest mistake Nothing did is not giving charger along with phone, they have actually given everything but they left a portion to be blamed and they followed the wrong trend. The easily would have set an example that you can get charger along with the premium experience as well.
High-end chipsets on budget hardware are the classic "bikau-not-tikau" example. The heating and battery drain are too significant to ignore after a single month, 120Hz drains the battery like a sieve collecting water. Switched from a SD865 to SD695 a few months and am enjoying decent performance without rushing to the charger after half a day. Nothing has hit a sweet spot of price and features, it'll hold better in the long run.
If you want to use the Nothing Phone 1 to it's full potential, you need to get yourself a case, a wireless charger and an Adapter. All this adds up to 5000 Rs. IQOO on the other side is literally good to go out of the box. If you buy the Nothing Phone 1 you need to make sure you need all the hardware present out there. it is a really good phone and probably just about justifies it's price, but will you be able to use that hardware? that is the question you need to answer.
finally someone said it accurately, Nothing dont even sopports normal fast charger, it should be PD charger, so how did Nothing think that we would have a Pd charger layong around in our house

Left punch hole definitely looks more premium and that's a preference for me while buying a new phone over center punch hole, it also gives almost full screen experience and doesn't bother while playing games like a centre punch hole does

Major difference is price Iqoo Neo is cost INR 26,000 and Nothing is cost INR 32,000(2,500) additional for charger. So I think iqoo Neo is far better from nothing phone.
I really don't think nothing is really a vfm in any form.. it the base varient would cost 33K+ when u include even the adapter and the cover(ofcourse u have to include these as every other brand offers them)..which is astounding for such a new brand..anyway iqoo provides way more and even the highest varient is kinda cheaper than nothings base.. i do not consider the gliff lights as a gimmick neither i think funtouch ui is "super" inferior to nothings os
For a start-up company it's difficult to sustain and to provide a competitive price and still they have managed to do so Unlike Chinese companies like (realme, oppo, one plus, Vivo, iqoo) comes under BBK electronics so they have all the leverage to share their assets with each others. But the point is it's not a overpriced phone, it wrongly stated for this phone. There's a difference between overpriced and agressive price. Phone (1) falls in between that. No only gliff but there's much more has been induced in phone (1) that eventually stands out from the rest. Right from the design the in hand feel with its boxy design, transparent back with wireless charging, a flexible OLED display to maintain the phone's asthetic so there's much more has been putted by Tom Howard design head of phone (1). Of course design is subjective to individuals. But those who liked it they gonna praise about it.

Phone (1) already got July security patch and some improvements/bugs tweaks via recent update to ver 1.1.0 so yeah NOTHING is delivering it's promises. I am drastically happy with Phone (1) the in hand feel with its haptics are really very good. I have shifted from Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Poco. I was using Poco F1 and this shift was very much smoother and happier. I don't prefer gaming now so I'm not unhappy because of SD 778G+. The design stands out more just from the first impression from the delivery boy of Flipkart was amazed to see such cool looking phone so yeah practically it does stands out from others.
One more feature in iqoo is that it has an ir blaster, that is something that seems like, meh it's not a big deal but when you start using it, it becomes a game changer, and dynamic range in iqoo neo 6 is way better because of the way the phone processes it, now many will say that who am I to say, even the big tech youtubers say that it's not that different, but they test premium phones like apple and Samsung's latest s series, so cuz of that sometimes you all may also notice that they say 30-40k phone is ok ok, but for the majority audiance it's a huge amount for a phone, so i personally recommend iqoo neo 6 for those who are below 30 years of age, because we prefer performance and we generally have a busy life and cuz of that we need fast charging, and brightness matters us a lot because we travell a lot, and one good thing is that even if nothing phone has 250 something service centre across the whole country, you can repair your iqoo in any Vivo store too, people may have different view, but i personally recommend nothing phone 1 to those who are properly settled now, and they don't have a very busy life,
Doesn't the iqoo neo 6 have LDAC support? I thought it was a part of Android 12. The earphones you are talking about are the oppo enco X2. Really waiting for that video. Please elaborate which latest phones support LHDC and which ones support LDAC.
I use a 65 watt charger phone. There is no way that I would go back to using anything lesser than that. I can only go higher but never lower and for that reason I won't be choosing Nothing Phone. Plus Nothing Phone is not even providing a charger!!! Iqoo is the clear winner here.

No iqqo neo 6 has not so good sterio speaker like moto edge 30 and nothing phone it's speaker is not loud enough in comparison

Tbh the biggest mistake Nothing did is not giving charger along with phone, they have actually given everything but they left a portion to be blamed and they followed the wrong trend. The easily would have set an example that you can get charger along with the premium experience as well.

High-end chipsets on budget hardware are the classic "bikau-not-tikau" example. The heating and battery drain are too significant to ignore after a single month, 120Hz drains the battery like a sieve collecting water.
Switched from a SD865 to SD695 a few months and am enjoying decent performance without rushing to the charger after half a day.
Nothing has hit a sweet spot of price and features, it'll hold better in the long run.
SD 870 optimization is great and that's why heating and battery drain isnt observed on Iqoo.

If you want to use the Nothing Phone 1 to it's full potential, you need to get yourself a case, a wireless charger and an Adapter. All this adds up to 5000 Rs. IQOO on the other side is literally good to go out of the box. If you buy the Nothing Phone 1 you need to make sure you need all the hardware present out there. it is a really good phone and probably just about justifies it's price, but will you be able to use that hardware? that is the question you need to answer.

I really don't think nothing is really a vfm in any form.. it the base varient would cost 33K+ when u include even the adapter and the cover(ofcourse u have to include these as every other brand offers them)..which is astounding for such a new brand..anyway iqoo provides way more and even the highest varient is kinda cheaper than nothings base.. i do not consider the gliff lights as a gimmick neither i think funtouch ui is "super" inferior to nothings os
For a start-up company it's difficult to sustain and to provide a competitive price and still they have managed to do so Unlike Chinese companies like (realme, oppo, one plus, Vivo, iqoo) comes under BBK electronics so they have all the leverage to share their assets with each others. But the point is it's not a overpriced phone, it wrongly stated for this phone. There's a difference between overpriced and agressive price. Phone (1) falls in between that. No only gliff but there's much more has been induced in phone (1) that eventually stands out from the rest. Right from the design the in hand feel with its boxy design, transparent back with wireless charging, a flexible OLED display to maintain the phone's asthetic so there's much more has been putted by Tom Howard design head of phone (1). Of course design is subjective to individuals. But those who liked it they gonna praise about it.

Phone (1) already got July security patch and some improvements/bugs tweaks via recent update to ver 1.1.0 so yeah NOTHING is delivering it's promises.
I am drastically happy with Phone (1) the in hand feel with its haptics are really very good. I have shifted from Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Poco. I was using Poco F1 and this shift was very much smoother and happier. I don't prefer gaming now so I'm not unhappy because of SD 778G+. The design stands out more just from the first impression from the delivery boy of Flipkart was amazed to see such cool looking phone so yeah practically it does stands out from others.

One more feature in iqoo is that it has an ir blaster, that is something that seems like, meh it's not a big deal but when you start using it, it becomes a game changer, and dynamic range in iqoo neo 6 is way better because of the way the phone processes it, now many will say that who am I to say, even the big tech youtubers say that it's not that different, but they test premium phones like apple and Samsung's latest s series, so cuz of that sometimes you all may also notice that they say 30-40k phone is ok ok, but for the majority audiance it's a huge amount for a phone, so i personally recommend iqoo neo 6 for those who are below 30 years of age, because we prefer performance and we generally have a busy life and cuz of that we need fast charging, and brightness matters us a lot because we travell a lot, and one good thing is that even if nothing phone has 250 something service centre across the whole country, you can repair your iqoo in any Vivo store too, people may have different view, but i personally recommend nothing phone 1 to those who are properly settled now, and they don't have a very busy life,

I use a 65 watt charger phone. There is no way that I would go back to using anything lesser than that. I can only go higher but never lower and for that reason I won't be choosing Nothing Phone. Plus Nothing Phone is not even providing a charger!!!
