Hey y'all! Thanks for watching today's video. It was a great adventure! I know a lot of folks are curious about why we find marbles in the creek, so I'll explain a couple theories here. Basically, the most simple and most likely is that the marbles were just thrown out along with the other trash. Also, it's known that kids would shoot marbles with slingshots to smash bottles in old bottle dumps. That sounds crazy because these bottles are now historic and valuable, but you gotta think that to them it was just another piece of trash, similar to how we view a glass bottle made today. Arguably, they were way prettier back then! Anyway, that's my best guess on the marbles!
That has always been my thoughts as I was one of those kids who hunted snakes with marbles. I didn't break bottles as I started hunting them at 10 yrs old
@@WILDKYLE I'm so glad you put about marbles being thrown away to cause a lot of people think it's just kids playing at the creek but your prob right they also got thrown away too. Thanks for vids and saving history and taking trash too. Anyone who's followed you for a long time knows you always try to take trash when you can ❤️
That was a great day on the creek with plenty of awesome finds. I always love it when you find a hutch or something you have never found before. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
It's so nice to chill out after a long day of working on a computer, to watch you hunting along and enjoying nature. I appreciate you taking us with you!
You should totally do a whole video on the history of Hutchinson bottles and why they're so valued by bottle hunters. There's definitely enough material there for at least five minutes!
I'm not much into hiking any more, but I really enjoy joining you on a virtual hike. The stream is exquisite; I wish it wasn't used as a trash dump these days. But I'm glad it was years ago so you can find such interesting items!
It's definitely a love/hate relationship with walking creeks like this. I love finding the treasure, but it breaks my heart to see the trash. This is why we try to clean up a little every time we're out exploring!
I always smile when you find something cool and get excited. Thanks for taking us with you on your adventures. I missed the marble Queen but you didn’t do to bad.
HEY BUDDY!!! Wonderful adventure as always. Wow the amount of damage that the storms did is crazy. I hope you and the Marble Queen have a great thanksgiving together. I call her the Marble magnet. LOL!
I am so glad to see you acknowledged the fact that extra caution is necessary when one is alone. Whether one is treasure hunting or just out for a day hike you may walk around a corner and see a bobcat up here too, we Do have them or it maybe a grizzly we have them here too. If you adventure alone you can have fun just everybody be SMART. Respect the outdoors!
Maybe you can turn those sharp bottles over, so wildlife won't get cut. I know you can't turn all the bottles over, but if you would a few it would help.
You’re a very determined young man. I wouldn’t have even tried to get through all that debris. I would have been sitting in that area where you found the bead and dug around me looking for anything. 😂 ✌🏼❤️
Kyle, be sure to shine a black light on your marbles and bottles to see if they are uranium glass. I've been pleasantly surprised more than a few times. 😊
When you were digging out what turned out to be the Hutch, as soon as you uncovered the lip and I saw it was a Hutch, I said you've got to be (bad word) kidding me. I was expecting a regular soda. I hope you saved the bottom of the master ink you found. The wording on the bottom looked great. That would be great to fill with marbles, or maybe Hutch tops.
KYLE, YOU MAKE ME NERVOUS WALKING AROUND WITHOUT ANOTHER BUDDY!! We all adore Natalie but if she can’t come every time, bring Chris and/or Brie or someone, just to watch each other’s backs, you know? Since your Mom can’t nag on you at this time, I’ll step in for her when I see you doing adventures that could be dangerous!! I’m 66.5 years old so I’m probably old enough to be your Grandmother!! Do you hear me??!!😂 Be safe, young man, so you can continue making these great videos!! From Lydia in Seattle
Oh WOW!! I feel like I just got my first reply from a serious celebrity!! Now you can make Chris P jealous😂! Speaking of Chris, how long have you 2 known each other?? I have always loved Natalie and Brie, but when you and Chris are together, you both bring out the maximum goofiness in each other!! You guys and your videos will never get old!! Thanks for your entertainment and Stay SAFE!!
It is pretty wild that stuff survives in these creeks! This area didn't get nearly as much water as other places like NC, but it's still impressive to see bottles survive over 100 years!
Thanks for the video Kyle. But I have to admit the amount of garbage is disturbing. We don't have that in Canada. Hope Natelie doesn't fight you for the marbles lol. Till next time❤
hi Kyle. amazing finds! i’m not sure if it was you, but anyway, a call was put out to folks that when they go out adventuring, they pick up a bag a trash as well. perhaps one can remind folks, even though they’re not on youtube, picking up trash can be freaking rewarding.
Also you could check with any glass artist near you that might reuse colored glass and collect broken or modern colored ones for them. (again just ideas that might be both beneficial and cleaning up at the same time) 🙂
Being as you posted the video I know you made it bacck. But, don't forget to wear some orange while you're out there right now. It is deer season.... Cool finds!
Happy Thanksgiving Kyle. Love your videos. So real and relaxing and interesting to watch. They go so fast! Love Natalie and hope you both have a really pleasant Thanksgiving. Donna Michigan
I have 2 glob top bottles i found during the demolition of some old houses in Springfield, Illinois. They're from the Springfield bottled water company. In perfect condition. My grandma used to dig old trash sites, and we'd get in them with her and help. I was 4 years old! I remember carrying the bottles and laying them out very carefully. Then getting treats for my hard work. ❤ This was 1968!
Not criticizing: I would have pulled out the mostly new looking stuff over the trash because it can be reused. Like that nice looking traffic cone might be nice in your car for when you park on the side of a road. Then it is not only out of the creek but also not going to another dump. Just thoughts. I think anything is good. Rescuing the salvageable bottles is helping in of itself.
Nice finds for sure, man !! 😎👍 I remember someone asked me one time, about my broken marbles...Said she made jewelry from them... Awesome show 👏!! My father in law talks about how many marbles he shot in the old trash piles, when he was a kid...lol !! Happy Thanksgiving to y'all !!✌🍀🦃🦃🦃
@ did you save them? It’s worth a look. Maybe you can gorilla glue them together regardless. lol! Something I have done. Weird is new sane. Stay beautiful
Invest in a glass saw and all the broken top bottles can be cut into decorative glasses and cool candle molds....the ones I sell go for 5 to 10 dollars for glasses and 5 for candles and where I'm from are not nearly as old

Also marbles, due to their shape, are a lot more likely to stay intact than other glass detritus.
That has always been my thoughts as I was one of those kids who hunted snakes with marbles. I didn't break bottles as I started hunting them at 10 yrs old
Thank you for sharing Kyle always a fun filled adventure with fantastic History

Thank you Cynthia! I was very happy with the marbles in this video, and of course the bottles too! I missed having Natalie along though too!

Good one! You even found a few marbles without the marble queen 😂 happy thanksgiving everyone!

Nice video as allways ❤
Love to c everythug around and the marbles ofcource 😁

Not bead, button
The Perry Coke bottlers ðump was found about 25 years ago behind Ricky's on 98. By the time I seen it ,it was dug out.
I thought in the first few minutes that you were going to have to dash out and grab a chain saw and go all WildKyle on that tree fall!
Hahahaa definitely would have been helpful 😂

Oh yeah that was ROUGH hahahaha
I would have cut the ink, and made a pencil holder out of it. Btw I've seen panthers in Ocala, and Dixie county be careful out there.
the bobcat was a treasure
Absolutely! I love seeing the wildlife!

Lime, cola and your favorite spirit. Thanks for bar tending!
Those treks through the brush looked kinda rough. Glad you made it through 👍
It was a little rough for sure 😅

I've definitely expressed that sentiment before!
Do you ever think to check the dirt inside those tires to see if something special is buried in them?
Haven't really tried to dig around in them like that. Not a bad idea!
Yep 15:55 late 70’s early 80’s Pepsi, I know that’s all my parents would buy, Diet at that 🤮

I know that bobcat. He prefers to go by Robert.
You move to fast to find a lot of marbles
This is probably true 😅
♥
Can those busted bottles be cut down with a rock saw?
A rock saw would probably break them up pretty bad, but they make some glass cutting saws that people use a lot!
How do you smooth the edges when you cut the top off?
41:02 is that the other half of the marble you found just before this one?

I'm curious, why would marbles be so prevalent in creeks down there?
