i LOVE that sam exposes his children to films like star wars and music like queen. as a 90's kid, i was predominantly raised on bee gees, earth wind and fire, chicago, wham!, chaka khan, simple minds, madonna, hall & oates... there's something nostalgic about 70's/80's songs that make it appealing, and it live to be the most iconic eras for music. i appreciate the music of the past as compared to today's tunes, and these 'old songs' are sadly regarded as meme music and people nowadays only think they get 'rickrolled' when rick astley's never gonna give you up or toto's africa play. i hope will and ben will grow to appreciate the songs our grandparents and parents grew up with without thinking "oh, it's the song from that meme".
yeolyeah me instead love that 80’s such as Rick Astley is a meme. I don’t have that much of exposure to oldies pop (as my dad loves classic rock and heavy metal), and I know Rick Astley or Toto because of meme. I’m somewhat thankful to that as they’re so amazing
