Related the russian strike on the Ukrainian airfield : as long as there is no proper cure against long range russian recon drones, the fighters should be operated from bases outside their reach. For me, this is quite clearly a failure of the Ukrainian air defense command structure, unfortunately. At the same time, I do not understand, why the russian airbases 200-350km afar from the border are not being attacked by long range drones, Neptune missiles etc. I am blaming the US government for their "usage ban" of ATACMS in this area, but ATACMS is not the only tool at hand - but certainly the best suited for this purpose.
There are 3 burning questions about the airfield attack 1) why were they parked so close together when there is nearly 30 available pads ? 2) why were they not scrambled if the drone was flying overhead for the 3 hours mentioned ? 3) why the F was there not something to protect the airbase from drones ? Plenty footage of Yaks taking out drones , plenty of footage of drones taking out drones So can Ukraine not manage a single drone team to be covering the airfield ? Ukraine keeps on bragging about how many thousands of drones they make every week yet they can not spare a couple to protect their airframes So are the generals working for Ukraine or russia ? It sure looks like russia to me !

I do not believe the plane video is linear in time. I believe the clips are played out of order, and the true ordering of events is much different.

The 3:1 ratio is parity. Ukraine needs *_BETTER_* than 3:1 losses to be gaining.
