I'm glad you talked about your mom's use of basements. Building above ground still eludes me. Several people make shell builds and that has really helped me with landscaping and furnishing. Like your mom I build one big full lot size basement for all the fun fitness, massage, spa and painting activities my households enjoy. Because above ground builds can only occupy about 30-40% of the lot to allow for landscaping etc. it's difficult to have large enough rooms for fitness and spa pieces.
As always your mansions are superbly build, furnished and landscaped. This one is no exception, it's superb. Thanks for making them all available on the gallery. They make Del Sol Valley, Oasis Springs and Newcrest elegant places in all my game saves.

Your detail oriented skills are such a work of art in itself. I normally don’t like mansion builds unless they are yours because of the love you put into them.

Hey Kate. Every so often I think there's no way you can build something more impressive than what's on show - then you reveal something like this. This a truly stunning. Regarding the high cabinets, don't people have footstools to reach them? We do and we only store stuff in there that has occasional use.
It's currently bucketing it down here but still quite warm.

It would be cool if you could do a really big modern house for Sulani, that’s my favourite world, with a sauna and spa, you know all the goodies. Maybe like one person commented that you could do some restaurants or shops. That would also be very cool. X

Love the formal living area with the piano, and the family room with the TV. In America it's very common to have a formal living area and a separate family hangout space with a TV, but my current house doesn't have that type of layout unfortunately. I wish my house had a separate formal living room area for my piano so that I didn't have to cram my piano into the same room as the TV. 😅 Anyway, awesome build, as always! 💖

I dont know if its just me, but I might be lazy so I seem to never be able to use houses from the Gallery, along side the fact I'm new to the Sims and only have a few additional content packs lol.
My main issue though is these houses tend to be so complex. What I mean is, all the houses I use only have 2 floors. Houses like this always have 3, 4, or even 5 floors, a basement, etc. I might be too lazy, cause I don't like switching floors to keep track of my sims. I play with 4-8 sims, and having even just 1 out of the group on the different floor is something I struggle with, so I never even tried playing on one of these houses cause I feel like they would all end up on a different floor! lol
Maybe its just me, I have no clue.
But with all that said, I think its great there are such talented people providing beautiful homes for so many people! Thank you!

While I love your mansions and how diverse and uniquely stunning your builds are. Could you do a series for more starter home (not necessarily tiny either) but starter, all American suburban homes? Ones you’d see many American young couples buy “as the American dream” before they start a family? Including those suburban townhomes? That would be cool to see

I concur on the lack of windows. I built several basements recently for vampires and one house for a book character - a superhero - that didn't have windows to her penthouse and it does feel weird.

This was definitely a really nice build, but I would say the amount of living space on the first floor is definitely overkill. Should’ve had more walls separating all the rooms. I don’t think it would be very practical to have the kitchen exposed like that unless there’s another ‘actual kitchen’ being used for cooking cuz I would imagine the smell would be a problem. It would also be nice to have one bedroom downstairs at least for guests. That side house could be converted into a guest house too!

at 7:10, how did you get the platform to go lower than the other platform? I keep trying and it builds it at the same height?

Can you please make an enlarged room where everything is over sized, so the people look miniature?
Then platforms and ladders could be throughout, say, a book shelf, and the sims would look like tiny people living inside them. And if there are wall cavities, there could be spaces in the walls there they can also live with little ladders, and accessed through an enlarged mouse mole decal at ground level over an arch way so it's functioning?
Could even put them is mouse onesies if you wanted to. XD
