As a college student, I agree na si incoming Vice President Sara Duterte ang magiging Secretary ng Department of Education. Sabi nila kabataan daw ang pag-asa ng bayan kaya talaga lang na isang mabait pero mahigpit at matapang na babae na kagaya ni Inday Sara ang dapat humawak sa department na ito. Marami kailangan ayusin sa DepEd pero naniniwala ako na Inday Sara is best suited for it.
Anyway sana magtuunan ng pansin ang UP. Maraming staffs and students jan ang anti-government kahit pa gobyerno naman ang nagpapaaral sa mga students jan at gobyerno din ang nagpapasweldo sa mga teachers etc. Pero jan pa karamihan galing ang mga NPA. Please so a deep cleaning in UP.

as a public grade school teacher, i think magandang idea na si incoming vp sarah ang maitalaga sa nation building role education. i see her as similar to yorme na practical and realistic ang approach in everything. if i may recommend some na sana makarating po: everything starts in grade school... we are doing well and right in the collegiate level because this is already the training ground for selected profession. secondary or highschool is also okay because it is the preparation ground for the technical training to expect in college. ang pinaka-crucial po talaga ay ang grade school level because everything starts from here. i strongly recommend to streamline (as in streamline... weed out and overhaul) the curriculum for the grade school. a more preferable and effective curriculum should only revolve within two factors: (1) development of numeracy and literacy para sa primary levels (grades 1-3) meaning, hindi dapat aakyat ng next grade level ang student nang hindi natututo ng basic arithmetic, hindi marunong magbasa, and hindi marunong magsulat. totoo po na goal na yan ngayon, but because tambak ang curriculum mas nagiging priority ang completion ng black and white prerequisites rather than tutukan ang individual raw skills development. And (2) the curriculum for intermediate levels (grades 4-5) should be explicitly focused on globalization... meaning, the curriculum and subjects should be limited to industry related competencies that will raise the level of probable future success ng mga students kahit nasa grade school palang sila, such as Math (including basic engineering math), Science, Language concentrated on the English communication skills , and ICT (ihiwalay ang ICT from EPP - and integrate Robotics in ICT)... change AP to Social Studies which will include and integrate Philippine Geography and History, Values, and Filipino (and bring back the teaching of ALIBATA or BAYBAYIN because that is part of our heritage), and finally P.E. (integrate Health since both goes the same direction, developing the physical well being), Visual Arts (not just Arts), and Music. Industrial Arts, Home Economics, and Agriculture are okay too. Modernizing education is not just about sending multiple computer units to schools.... the bottom line is that the globalization and industrialization should be highly considered in the elementary curriculum... it's should be all about skills development, not just learning facts and figures, and doing the usual that they (elementary students) will not care anymore after they leave the school. opinion ko lang po. looking forward to a drastic enhancement of the Philippine educational system. Kids its time to study the moral values not just the education ibalik niyo ung panatang makabayan i heard d na to sinusumpa every flag ceremony. nun nagaaral ako school was very strict everyone should participate kung d kayo nagfflag ceremony d kayo makakaattend ng first class or worse is nsa labas kayo ng classrooms. thats how we value the education. I hope VP Sara teach the students to clean their classrooms as they participate to Brigada Skwela not the parents. Nakakaaawa nga magulang nghahanap buhay na naglilinis pa ng skwelahan thats not what students before kami talaga naglilinis ng skwela. Treat the schools like your own home maintain its cleanliness.
