How did I react to Zoro's Three-Sword Style for the first time in my life? I just rolled with it. Didn't even think of it. The main character is made out of rubber so why can't he wield a sword in his mouth?
Yea I only kinda remember laughing at how absurd it was at first. But one piece kinda drives deep into crazy shit from the start. So once along for the ride, you just roll with the punches. Like you said, the MC is a rubber man. And we see how Zoro uses his moves, and they look cool, so ehhh whatever. And besides the third sword, and his directional disabilities, zoro is one of the most normal anime characters in all of one piece. And on a side note I love how Zoro is always first in the water to save the devil fruit users in the crew, and enemies alike. But Oda does little things like that a lot. Chopper always dives in as well, forgetting he also can not swim, and Zoro has to save both of the users. Oda is the Goat.
For me, I think it's unique and interesting, cause what other swordsman in anime who uses three swords like this. That's also the reason why he's my favorite character of this series.
Well, he spent enough time with cursed swords. Either he has something that allows him to wield them with minimal consequences or the swords made him that way. It would be cool since the swords themselves are a major part of what being a swordsman in One Piece. Everyone can use a sword, but being able to wield and control these powerful named and cursed swords would be a clear mark to set them apart from regular people using any other blade.

I remember that when Zoro appeared and ask Luffy to bring his swords, I thought he meant two swords. But then I saw he retrieved three and I was like "Three? Would it be convenient for him to just carry two so the third doesn't obstruct his battle?". And then the magical moment happens when Zoro took his three swords: two in each hand, and one between his teeth. All I could utter was: "what a genius madman. It looks so cool, but would it hurt his neck and teeth in the future?". Later one I saw his training as a kid and I let it slide.
No they just break easier because they are not as well made. And I am assuming black blades are even harder to break being infused with haki. But there is a lot we do not understand in one piece about swords. We are finding that out in wano. Now swords suck out the users haki without permission. Cursed blades, black blades, blades that take your haki, who knows what else there is going to be. I just hope Oda explaines what is going on with them, because it's cool, but mysterious. And some exposition on swords in Wano would be nice to see.
When I first saw Zoro, I just thought Oda combined the stereotypical pirate that usually holds a knife in his mouth in movies and cartoons with the samurai wields duo swords, so except from the awareness of how heavy one katana is, I didn’t find it that weird (shrugs).

Remember how Nami describes the Red Line as a group of adjoining islands, each with a different season? It could be something like that.

Like Grizzly Magnum is just a Haki covered giant gum gum bazooka plus there's Leo Bazooka in G4. Elephant gun is just a haki covered gigante pistol. Red Hawk is Jet Bullet but with Haki and on fire etc
I feel like some of the techniques Zoro used in Enies Lobby, as well as his use of Sandai Kotetsu, are some of Oda’s earliest hints of Zoro having the potential to be a Conquerer. It’s even noted on a few occasions that it’s very shocking to people that Zoro is following anyone and not leading his own crew, a trait we somewhat recently learned he shares with Oden.

When i first saw the 3 sword style i thought it was the dumbest shit i'd ever seen, Zoro's character though was quick to erase that, I also had a lot of experience with Anime/Manga so i didnt think it was unusual just thought it was hella dumb lol....plus I'm pretty sure I had already seen Killer B at that time.....nuff said lol
Zoro is incredibly powerful but doesn't get enough power expression because of plot I feel. He one shots Killer but then passes out. He can slash down buildings but can struggle in some fights, but eventually does something insane with Santoryu. Even with the sword upgrade from Wano the Shiryu fight is probably going to make him look weaker than he really should be

I just now understand why Sanji and Zoro are rivals. They are both defined by the number 3. Sanji the third of quadruplets and Zoro using Santoryu.
When i first saw the 3 sword style i thought it was the dumbest shit i'd ever seen, Zoro's character though was quick to erase that, I also had a lot of experience with Anime/Manga so i didnt think it was unusual just thought it was hella dumb lol....plus I'm pretty sure I had already seen Killer B at that time.....nuff said lol

Zoro is incredibly powerful but doesn't get enough power expression because of plot I feel. He one shots Killer but then passes out. He can slash down buildings but can struggle in some fights, but eventually does something insane with Santoryu. Even with the sword upgrade from Wano the Shiryu fight is probably going to make him look weaker than he really should be
