Just bought one 2 weeks ago (107...I wanted the chrome!). Took delivery last week and my first ride on it today (weather finally got above freezing). Honestly the best bike I’ve ever ridden.
Now that’s a fine piece of American machinery. That particular bike is the best of both worlds. It’s put together as a cruiser or touring bike. And if you drop the bags and windshield. You have a street bruiser . I own a 2004 Heritage they are awesome bikes . Great review . Thanks man
I’ve got a 2019 Heritage 114 classic, it has a stage one upgrade with Rineheart exhaust, a sissy bar with back pad and a luggage rack. I enjoy it , it’s a great motorcycle.
Several years ago, we had a rather dry winter and the roads were clear and salt free. Group of us decided to take a ride from central Massachusetts to Newport RI on New Year's Day. Air temps were just around zero Fahrenheit. We all made sure our tires were set, bikes were in good condition, we all had heated gear, and a bunch of us carried emergency blankets and such just in case. Had a blast visiting the mansions, the polar plunge (none of us participated - those people are crazy) and a wonderful diner. Did about 240 miles that day. Despite the temps, it was a total blast and we still talk about the trip. And, we still get people questioning our sanity for doing it. (^_^) Seriously, when you prepare properly, riding in cold weather isn't a big deal. What kills me is riding in the high heat. Sure, I've got vented gear, but stop moving and you start to melt. Don't know how you southern boys and girls do it.
My first Harley was a 2008 Heritage. I bought it new in September of ‘07. I had ridden metric cruisers before. Now, I’ve had 3 Harleys. I had a Road King until last year when I traded it for a Limited last March. I’ve really enjoyed each one.
Hubby bought me this bike for Christmas and I am loving it. Getting used to being back on two wheels after riding a trike and the Heritage is a lot of fun.
What a very comfortable and professional manner you have. Thank you for taking the time to prepare, produce and upload. A great review. I’d never considered this style of bike before and you’ve given me a lot to think about but also answered a lot of my questions. Thanks.
I bought a 2020 Heritage Classic with 232 miles on it in 2021 with the Screaming Eagles on it. It has guards on it and I feel that they are a must for this bike. I put lights on it and upgraded the brake lights too all with Custom Dynamics. My girl thinks I am in love with my bike and I think she is right. Thanks for the review Jerry.
Hey Motorman! I love my 2018 115th Anniversary Heritage Classic with the 114 motor. I ride two up fairly often and it works fine. Stock seats and all has been fine so far. I have taken several moderately long trips up to 5-6 hours one way and it's been good. Lots of power but easily maneuverable. I will have a reason to go to Florida this summer and I'm thinking about how I can work out a visit and get a day of training from the Pro! Keep up the ride reviews I enjoy them.
The line of sight you use on your test ride camera placement is perfect. It gives you a feel for being in the saddle and gives you a true sense of the rate of travel. Also when you get on it this 114 really jumps ! Oddly enough, alot of test ride videos don't convey acceleration very well Well done Motorman.
I ride a 2018 Heritage that I bought new. The HD dealer saw me coming, I ended up paying 21,500 for it (all the maintenance plans that have now timed out😣) It is nice to find out that it is basically the same as the new one-all the same 'stuff' and specs. It has the best seating position of any bike that I have owned (5'7", 200 lbs, 28" inseam).
I really enjoy all your videos Jerry. This one has helped me along with ‘Mr Darcy and the Ol Man’ to decide to go for the heritage classic 114 and I pick my ‘22 model up on Friday. I’d be taking your ‘Slow Control’ course if I were there instead of England. Thank you and keep doing what you do please.
Got a 2016 Heritage, love it. Looking to trade up to a new Heritage. Not sure what I think of the hard saddle bags.. the older Leather saddle bags have more room.
A year ago, got me a 2016 slightly used Heritage, put a rider back rest on it.. can't think of any other motorcycle being more comfortable. 100's of miles at a time, haven't found my limit yet..
I have a nice 2018 in black just like that. Lots of mods and I have it since new and still live it almost 2 years later. Got a video on my channel of it in case anyone wants to check out the modifications.

I liked the Heritage but back in 2017 the lean angle and the scrape was a deal buster for me. I went with the RK and am happy with it. Should definitely come with crash bars stock.
Thanks for another review. I looked at the '18 Heritage but didn't like the height of the bars. I put a heel shifter on my '18 Deluxe, like it a lot. Take the LiveWire out for a spin!!!
I really like the new Heritage.Might have to take one of these Babies out for a test ride .I Like my Roadking but I really kinda miss my softtail..Might go back to the Heritage softtail .Thanks for taking us on the test drive makes me think what I want to do come spring time
Great review. I gave a Hertiage 2009 model my better half and I go touring it's a great ride but as you mentioned lean angle not that great. I really enjoy your videos learnt a lot my thanks to you and your wife for filming.
Great review and content, you are one of my favorite you tube channels honest and low key without any of the fluff. I have a 2014 Heritage and just a bit of info for everyone that has the previous generation 2007-2017 Heritage Softail if you put the older style floorboards on , I had a set from an 05 Road King you will get quite a bit of cornering clearance back 2-3 degrees per side, they don't look as nice as the nostalgia boards but they work much better. Interestingly enough the earlier Heritage softails up to 2006 had 28 and 29degrees cornering clearance. Hope this helps someone.
I'm getting sold on this Heritage bike. Been looking at them for a while. Last two bikes were a 2001 Toad King followed by a 2006 Sportster 1200 Roadster. Haven't ridden in 10 years but need to get back. Diing on the vine.
Dang it man, they really hit the mark with this one didn't they. The hubcaps and the light bar spots with military blackout look to them, and that windshield is a huge plus look wise.
Jerry great vlog. I have 2015 Heritage in superior blue like your wheels white walls engine and saddle bag guards. Yes has that old look and still has that mechanical feel with modern technology abs is great. Be Safe🏍🇺🇸
Had a 2013 slim before I got my 2018 heritage 114. Scraped the floorboards non stop on the slim. I've actually got to put a little effort into scraping on the '18.
Rode a 95 Heritage here in Missouri for 28 years and 15 degrees was my cold weather limit oh and I leaned the crap out of it on local twisties as well as Arkansas Highway 23 and the curly roads in the Black Hills
I had an 08 Heritage prior to my EG-standard. Its a great bike.... The Milwaukee 8 is definitely a superior engine in all ways. I dont like the new bags though. The older studded bags were more "heritage" throwback. I am also unhappy with the little "cut backs" with higher prices. I will day that the dark lower half of the windshield is nice, especially here in florida
Beautiful bike but whats up with that silver bolt below the speedometer that holds the assembly on? Seems like they could hide the bolt or use a black one at least.
Cheers Jerry, thanks for the review, I’m planning a 4 maybe six week trip around the med, through the Alps and Pyrenees mountains, my question is do the floor boards flex on contact or are they rigid??

I ride down to 35F, with heated gloves and jacket. Yes I would like to be somewhere warmer but Vancouver is about as good as it gets up here in Canada. Under 35 I get frostbite on my cheeks, even in a full face.
As a uk rider who did the whole of Route 66 on a new heritage, my only complaint was the single disc , not powerful enough on a modern bike imo. I fell in love with it but I would never own one in uk 🇬🇧. Over £20.000 no thanks.
The clunk of the shifting 1st through 3rd.... Is that something HD riders like as much as a loud exhaust system? Mechanically, it sounds brutal on the gearbox. hard to believe in the 21st Century that it would be a "design feature". Sounds outdated, to me.

Love the look.
2003 Heritage and 2020 Heritage is big different bike!
I think I’ll steal your idea. I want to retire early. I’d hate to spend over 15 k for a bike for now at least.

Great deal!! Just curious as to what breakdowns you've had(if any).
