I loved this game and the music soooo much!I used to sit in the Overworld for hours, just watching the clouds roll by and the fish hopping out of the water and just zone out to this music...for hours at a time. So soothing. Nostalgic.
I think its 2 days towards the north star, 1 day going slightly west of it, then 2 days east of it, then 2 days towards the north star again. I know it was something convoluted like that.
I spend days as a 7 years old kid trying every single possible direction. The moment I finally managed to get out of it was one of the most satisfactory things in my live.
There's a trick to this! The guy who tells you how to get through the desert will tell you exactly how to do it, but if you check the notes he gives you, they're different than what he says when you talk to him. What he says is correct, what the notes say is wrong.
Man i love these chill PS1 Capcom Xylophons they also extensively use in Mega Man Legends. It gives these games an iconic 90's Capcom touch or something lol
I like this one better than the second one, the second one carries destiny and meaning, something which adult Ryu seeks like all adults. This one holds freedom to do what one wants with his friends, something all children seek. Be free
YiZhuanyong You played 'undertale' already? One of the best new rpg's imo. If you didn't I recommend it highly. (only turotial sucks, but rest of the game is epic.).
My favorite version of this Game! Incredible how time passes by and we got some good memories about! And by hearing this tune right now makes me wants to play it again! GREAT GAME! The true story about a kid and his journey about childhood and the looking back without angering with the big problems ahead!
This brought me to fusion. And what other RPG has a jazz/fusion soundtrack? Do you remember how many people thought the music was odd to say the least? I got it when I was 14 or so, and loved this music.
look up Verticlal Hold and Angie stold : Seems your much to busy. thats the inspiration for this song. Bof3 Has alot of RnB inspired tracks. thats why it sounds so odd
I got right to the last boss and wasn't prepared for the fight, no heals and couldn't go back. So I played the whole game again to complete, 100% worth it.
This takes me back to when I was younger. This game, this soundtrack just makes me remember and puts a smile on my face. Its a shame I cant find this cd soundtrack anyone online.
This music and this game puts me back to that moment when I was just a kid...I really miss those carefree days when the only responsibility I had was to finish homework. Otherwise I just played video games and ate chicken nuggets and Milano cookies with my best friend. I wish I could have those days back.
Okay so I'm playing this game again lol... And I'm playing up in my music studio, and I really need to figure out what kick drum sample they used for this lol, if anyone has any ideas
@ratedRmetalstar better late than never, i'd consider this in between fusion and smooth jazz. it has some more complex jazz chords/chord movement, but a very simple melody over the top and the solos are all on basically a 2 chord vamp. wide use of instrumentation as well, including funky rhythm guitar. since jazz is a huge umbrella of a genre in itself, its very difficult to really put this into one subgenre since it has a lot of different elements.
I was out at the coffee shop today and this song came up on the background music. I haven't played BoF3 or listened to the music in years, but I immediately recognized it and it made my day.
Yeah!! The first two are old and kinda didn't age well though, especially 2 that has a pretty bad translation! But they're not bad games :p 3 is my favourite! But 4 is also super great! If you play any of 'em, you'll have a pretty good time. Have fun!
i dunno about that one bro, they are both great, and they serve different moods and reasons inside the game... they are both great, they both give me the hibbie jibbies about my lost dragon childhood
@Myriachan Ha, I understand that. But to be honest, I don't remember much about BoF 3 that compelled me to make that year-old comment in the in the first place. That's why I got so flustered when folks kept spamming my comment/inbox with slanderous nonsense...I don't know if you saw any of it, but it was a major headache.
breath of fire 2 allong with the whole thing about the evanism and deatheven is more of a reference to the catholic church rather than the judeo-christianity itself that is what i think
Ugh, I miss this game. Didn't they make one for PSP somewhere...? This theme embodies ALL of my ( bittersweet) childhood memories.... LOL, don't go cancelling your account like Idunator did, all right?
@TheHikariOne As the bible says, truth from the mouth of babes. When one is a child one is innocent and untainted by knowledge of good and evil (sins of the father). As Jesus said, suffer the little children and come unto me. Let your childlike part of you free once more and such things will not plague you :) One needs not religion, or belief to justify ones existence or to live. Simply be who you are and what you feel within your heart and nature and peace will follow and grow with you.
@AkumaUchitoru Nah...you're just paranoid. The game industry will be healed eventually but its going to have take something unprecedented they would have to permit and risk losing some money. Although I can't imagine they would lose any since we'd all love to have games that were more or less like the old classic ones but they'd have better graphics.
I didn't really see any harm in it. I mean, many games have religious things, and ALOT of it. Like the playstation game Alundra. It's pretty much about defeating a god that's killing people through nightmares [Enter Nightmare on Elm Street joke here]
I don't really recall BOF III having much religion stuff... And why should people be offended? It's a game. You're not really supposed to believe in things that happens in it :)
...Let's...not open up "Pandora's Box" by replying to that archaic comment. I've paid my dues by having my Inbox spammed with rebuttals. As a matter of fact, I'm going to go ahead and get rid of it, seeing how its still getting replies. I didn't mean harm by it, but that was WAY in the past.
I love this song, but I dunno about it's use in BoF3. I guess it's supposed to represent "carefree" childhood days, but it just doesn't fit. Just my opinion of course. All in all, a good song on its own.
Thursday's forecast: Bright and sunny skies. No chance of rain, expected to last into the night. Delays at Maekyss Gorge expected to continue.
vaporwave
Even the sun is smiling...
I got this as alarm in the morning. It's so frigging sweet to hear this when I wake up. *o*
where did u get it I need this in my life .
Very nice Way to Wake up ... I'll try, too
If you love a song, don't put as your alarm sound. You'll end up hating.
Hell yeah:)
Downloading now and applying to phone.
Ah, good old times.
When Ryu grew up, this song never plays again.
When we grow up, the carefree times are long gone -_-
yeah
@@smuglife64gaming21
But the memories of our childhood shall always remain inside our hearts for we are children in spirit.
I wonder what ever happened to teepo

Kareem Pinkston its funny how we rotate the camera and the characters will still look the same lol beautiful game..
Omg same! Love this song
@@Mooch2myLoO 😊👌🏽
What a GREAT RPG this was.
Wow... It's mah favorite... ❤️🤘
Is!
Timeless classic
was?
This tune is so YES, I could spend a lot of time in this game just sitting in the overworld jamming my invisible instruments to this.
im still stuck at the dessert!! since 2003 til now lmao
That's why I had a strategy guide and it got me through it.

Awesome track that comes with so much nostalgia. I remember buying this game for about $15 with Xenogears from a friend.
This game and Xenogears.....Your friend must be your hero for life now!
It was only after I played through both games when I realized the deal I got.
YiZhuanyong
You played 'undertale' already? One of the best new rpg's imo. If you didn't I recommend it highly. (only turotial sucks, but rest of the game is epic.).
VERY underrated track
👍👍
That Game was so good, I bought it twice! Because the first CD doesnt work anylonger after hours of playing.

GREAT GAME! The true story about a kid and his journey about childhood and the looking back without angering with the big problems ahead!
This would be the best elevator music/on hold music ever.
Reminds me of when I was 10.
I've never forgotten this tune
This brought me to fusion. And what other RPG has a jazz/fusion soundtrack? Do you remember how many people thought the music was odd to say the least? I got it when I was 14 or so, and loved this music.
Yeah the IGN review of the game outright calls the soundtrack BAD, which is insane
Trails in the Sky has a jazzy soundtrack. I've been looking for more myself, to no avail

This OST is BRILLIANT. Some people just have bad taste 😂
Persona 5's ost is kind of jazzy
THIS FUCKING GAME. all time favorite
Bobby Corwen not mine, but OK!...
It is strange to see such recent comments but it fills me with happiness for some reason
Because this game will never be forgotten 😁
best theme in the game honestly. Perfect for morning wake up alarm, morning walk/jog..
I actually use to have this as an alarm. This and Tengu Man's theme from Rockman & Forte. I think the same composer worked on both games.
I got right to the last boss and wasn't prepared for the fight, no heals and couldn't go back. So I played the whole game again to complete, 100% worth it.
Great music, great storyline . Brings back a lot of memories :')
one of my all time favourite RPG's.. i wish they would bring out HD's for the vita.. that would be cool..
Lol I still got this game I'm never giving it away
hold on to it hard dude
The sound team was definitely bumping CASIOPEA when they made this one.
Was great when walking around, the hero's hair bobbing to the music lol
When a game gives you nostalgic goosebumps when you listen to it, you know you had an amazing experience back when it came out!
This needs a release on PSN
this game and part 4 should come out on the switch; in fact, most games up to ps4 should come out on the switch

Breath of Fire 3 was Capcoms FF7 and they squandered it.

Breath of Fire 3 fun times
omg dude this game had such a magic to it that never again came to the BOF series
that's true... playing this as a kid... pure bliss I tell you.
I believe somewhere this song was named "Casually."
Forecast for Yrrall Road: Partly cloudy with a chance of Bunyan.
I listen to this song while walking through my town =)
Literally just biked to it yesterday in the same town!
The music in this game was waaay too good.
When that song kicks up i think to myself...."oooook, where do i go??"
I just think "oh, it's that great RPG where I never found the wallet!"

I wish BoF4 would've retained some of the BoF3 music style. BoF4's music, although a great game, is mostly forgettable.
uhm, no, the battle themes are among the greatest there are in rpg history.
Just the final battle theme alone is worth a zillion zenny.

if you hear the other overworld theme when ryu is adult side by side to this one you can see what each of them means
@TheHikariOne Better avoid Breath of Fire 2, then, since in that one, the obviously Christian-like church turns out to be the source of evil.
