  • Every August, Edinburgh hosts the largest fringe festival in the world. Over half a million people flock to the city to see the 3500+ shows and enjoy the good vibes, and I decided to see what all the fuss was about.
This video was a leap into new territory for me - it’s my first vlog and I wanted to try something a bit different to the standard. Littered throughout this video are spontaneous discussions on the deep side of magic, a secret tutorial, and off-the-cuff shenanigans with friends. Let me know what you think of the format! I was inspired by the documentaries produced by Studio52 in The Family to include these little extras in the mix, and I’d love to hear your feedback in the comments.
As promised in the video, here is the link to Yev’s fantastic patreon page - be sure to check it out!

This is a really nice video! I like the vibe you're giving off. Thank you so much for sharing! :)
My sleight list would probably look like this:
    1. Controlling cards while shuffling, mostly with injog/outjog.
    2. Break management - very important as you said!
    3. I like to use a concept that is and has been represented a lot by Tamariz, Hartling or Aronson and some important techniques go along with it: peaking cards and estimated cuts are probably the most important ones.
    4. Double lift.
    5. Top Change.
    6. Card Reverses - I use them much more often than I initially expected. But it's simply a very strong effect if the spectator card is the only one in the game that is reversed.
    7. Turn over pass, in some of my favourite effects it is the best move to do this economically. But basically I don't like the pass.
    8. Palming: mostly the top card with one handed top palm or topping the deck & Gamblers Cop for bottom stock
    9. The cull - it is very versatile. That's what I like about it.
    10. False Counts.
    11. Side Steal

My list is more or less the same. (Maybe I’d add a pressure fan and road runner cull)
Great video and love the less is more mentality.

@@spencermargenna nice, though the roadrunner cull is already part of my list. And thank you, I think it’s a very refreshing mentality
