    Hi. Can i translate Nagamit mo ba into [ did u use it?] Is it same meaning in Tagalog or will be another sentence?

      Hello there! The right way to say it is "Ginamit mo ba ito?" (Did you use this/it?) I'll try to make a video comparing these two. Maraming salamat po for watching. 😊🇵🇭

    I don't get it. For example "Nalinis mo ba?" means "Did you clean it?". So why do you translate it as "Were you able to clean it?"

    • @TalkToMeInTagalog
      @TalkToMeInTagalog  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, Alex! Kumusta po? The more accurate translation of "Did you clean it?" is "Nilinis mo ba?" because the focus of this sentence is the person who did the cleaning whereas "Nalinis" is focused on the object that was cleaned. I know it's quite confusing. I'll try to make a comparison video on this topic. Maraming salamat po for watching. Ingat. 😊🇵🇭

      @@TalkToMeInTagalog All these small differences are confusing. They make difference in statements. I don't like to deal much with grammar but maybe I could remember the case somehow if you make a new video. Salamat po !
