Inside the World’s Deadliest Prison | CECOT - El Salvador 🇸🇻

  • In every country I travel to, I use this *Wise travel card* to pay for Airbnbs, food, withdrawals, and even dates.💳 No BS fees. No scams. Just smooth, real-life payments. It’s a cheat code for anyone living or traveling abroad.
    You should 100% try it on your next trip - it’s free: 👉wise.com/invit...
    In this exclusive access video, I take you inside El Salvador's CECOT prison-the strictest and largest maximum-security facility in Latin America. Built by President Bukele in just 7 months, this prison holds over 40,000 of the country's most dangerous criminals, including members of notorious gangs like MS-13 and Barrio 18.
    From the intense security checkpoints to the harsh living conditions inside, you’ll see why no one has ever escaped from this massive facility, which spans the size of 11 soccer fields. Inside, prisoners have no privacy, no sunlight, and no contact with the outside world-no visits, no phone calls, and no luxuries like meat. .
    El Salvador, once the murder capital of the world, has transformed into one of the safest countries. But this change has raised questions in Western media about potential human rights violations. In the video, I share my own thoughts on this complex issue, offering a unique perspective on how this transformation has been achieved and what it means for the future.

      Instead we have human rights activists who are complaining. They should have been complaining when the gangs were murdering and extorting everyone. They have no problem going there now to complain while they feel safe, but they wouldn't have before when it was dangerous and said nothing.

    The first year I went to El Salvador, I was 10 and my family got a bounty on them. People found out we were coming from the states to visit. Now that I’m 22, it is a lot more safer. I would have never let my daughter go to our home country if it hadn’t changed but the President has fixed so much. I am more comfortable letting my child go and see our family members. @ for sure, but im not talking about forgiveness, simply the fact that he knows he did some horrible things. Whether he thinks those things were that bad or not, is separate from the fact he knows he did do those things. Im simply stating that he knows hes there for a reason (what he did). But yes you are correct. On another note, Gods grace is bigger than we can ever comprehend, if he truly feels real regret for the things he did (which i doubt) God IS willing to forgive him. Although yes, he probably only regrets doing those things BECAUSE he got caught.

This video and the “Darien Gap” video you made with bald & bankrupt are classics. I was born in Vancouver Canada but i live in El Salvador with my wife who is Salvadorian. El Salvador is more safe than any major city in North America. Mostly because of the lockdown on gangs but also there is very little hard drugs like heroin & especially no fentanyl zombies wondering the streets like LA, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle & Vancouver. The most dangerous thing in El Salvador is the drunk & reckless drivers. Keep up the great work Timmy!!

      @Timmykarter you need to do a little bit more research before being used as a political pawn. Although El Salvador has improved in terms of security as you've illustrated in other videos, this is really more of a propaganda piece. These prisoners are being treated very, very well, almost like in a First World Country prison. Yet, if you go to other prisons within El Salvador, the conditions are horrible and pathetic. Look at 'Politica al Limite' interview with Ingrid Escobar who speaks about this.

    • @Milton_Mejia
      @Milton_Mejia 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      And some of these other prisons have political prisoners that are being held for two years without charges under the 'regimen de excepcion'. So gang members live in luxury, where you were, while these other prisoners live in filth where you weren't.

    • @TimmyKarter
      @TimmyKarter  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @Milton_Mejia propaganda?? Go visit yourself the hoods of El Salvador mate and u ll see what the real propaganda is. Or u can also check my yt video in the capital 3 years ago … no point convincing someone who never lived there during the period of pure terror

    • @Milton_Mejia
      @Milton_Mejia 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TimmyKarter you're missing the point of my post. I immediately acknowledged "El Salvador has improved in terms of security as you've illustrated in other videos." I have family in El Salvador and have visited during and after the gangs (as recently as a few months ago) so get off your high horse and dig a little deeper, ask questions and don't be blinded by the gov't tour that you took - did they take you to the other prisons in Izalco, etc. where conditions are horrible.
