    Over the last calendar year, Ozuna has hit 50 bombs & driven in nearly 140 runs, batting .301, and nearly 1-dotting the OPS.
    What a turnaround on the field, and I love all the positivity his teammates show for him. Everyone has bad moments, and deserve a 2nd chance. Marcell seems to be doing the most with it

    Marcell is my favorite player on the team! Not just for his play but for what he’s over come off the field! Hope he finishes his career with the Braves!

    To me Ozuna's productivity makes perfect sense. He showed what he can do in a stacked Braves lineup back in '20. '21-'22 he was obviously going through it in his personal life. You ever tried to focus on your job when you just split up with your girl and you have a criminal case hanging over your head? I have, it's not easy to focus, and my job is WAY easier than hitting major league pitching. He was always going to bounce back eventually. I kept trying to tell everyone that.

    Our offense is starting to look a little better but still plenty of room for improvement. Ozuna is one of the most improved players in baseball. He's been awesome this past year. Arcia's defense has been elite so far this season. Thanks Jake for your explanations. GO BRAVES

    I’ll say this again about Ozuna’s past. If someone doesn’t like him because of it, they are directing their vitriol towards the wrong party. It’s not his fault there wasn’t any charges or the charges were dropped or whatever it was. Show me a person that had their cases dismissed and said “No, I still want to go in front of a judge and jury,please”.
    If anyone wants to get mad (have at I guess, if they hold that much spite) get mad at the DA’s office. They are the ones that made all the decisions here, not Ozuna.
    By the way Jake, I made another sale on the phone with one of your videos in the background.

      If people want to be mad they should be mad at his wife, the reason the charges were dropped is her past record of domestic violence. She was arrested for abusing ozuna before he was ever arrested for it, his wife had been abusive almost their entire relationship lol she's insane there's a good reason the charges were dropped

    Do you think it would be insane to let Micheal Harris try playing second base? He's obviously an insane athlete with terrific coordination. I am confident Kelenic could play center field then you just move Ozzie to left field. He's got the speed to run balls down, his arm isn't great but having a weak defender in left is way better than having one at second base. You always have Duvall as a late inning defensive replacement too.

    Braves pick up Zack Short from Boston for cash, who is likely going to take over Guillorme's spot since Short doesn't have any options left.

    • @LockedOnBraves
      @LockedOnBraves  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea, I guess they really want to keep that depth with Fletcher in Triple-A so he gets regular at-bats. Makes sense as that bench spot can go weeks without seeing action unless there is an injury during a game.

    I’m curious.. does snit think Kelenic is fully incapable of hitting lefties? I mean I get that’s why they have Duvall platooning with him but it seems like even if Kelly is having a great game at the plate.. as soon as a lefty reliever comes in, Brian snatches him out of there. I love having Adam Duvall back and it’s never a bad idea putting him in, but I’m not sure I agree with protecting him from lefty pitching all together, especially if he’s out there raking.

    So I'm not saying Ozzie is an elite defender. He's not, but he is serviceable. In regards to the 5th inning double play that wasn't turned, I'm not putting that on Ozzie. Matt Olson was playing back with runners on first and second. Because of that, and because Wong got the ball as hard as he did, when Ozzie received the ball from Riley, he had to double clutch the turn because Olson wasn't quite to the bag yet. As was stated, Wong runs really well for a catcher. It would've been tough to turn even if Ozzie didn't double clutch the throw. The point I'm trying to get at, while I'm not saying Ozzie is the best defender, it's not fair to say he bobbled the transfer when he didn't.

    Hey Jake everydayer here and since this show focused so much on the upside of sticking with a player who had fallen from the grace of the league, what are you hearing on exactly why Bauer hasn’t been given a shot by any team? His pitching could improve most teams not just the Braves and it feels like a joint agreement by the league not to sign him.

    • @protectpr7064
      @protectpr7064 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Of course there must be an owner's joint agreement with regards to TB or there could be something that has yet to see the light of day.

    • @MassBoost
      @MassBoost 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why would they need another starting pitcher? Since April 14th, the Braves starting staff has produced a sub 3 ERA (2.95), and have been one of the best starting rotations in baseball.

    • @LockedOnBraves
      @LockedOnBraves  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think part of it is that Bauer's still has ongoing cases (from what I understand).
      Ozuna was already under contract when his troubles happened and Braves weren't going to eat the money.

    • @AnnoyedHikingTrail-es6yl
      @AnnoyedHikingTrail-es6yl 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MassBoost r u just trying to be disagreeable? Bauer is a very capable and still available proven starter and we definitely still need another one. As we move forward in the season it is very reasonable to expect that even if we stay healthy Sale, Lopez, and Morton may all have inning limits placed on them. If you just don’t like Bauer, that’s one thing, but to say we don’t need him or couldn’t use him is crazy.

    • @MassBoost
      @MassBoost 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AnnoyedHikingTrail-es6yl Of course I'm being disagreeable, because I don't see the need for the Braves to take on more money, to have a guy who has been known to be thought of less than highly by several of his peers, and I just don't see the need for him as mentioned above as this rotation doesn't necessarily need anyone at this time. Why would Morton ever have innings limits? Even if you were to have to try to limit some innings from Lopez who might be the most likely, they have a slew of pitchers who can make spot starts here and there such as Dodd, Winans, Vines, Smith-Shawver, Ynoa, and maybe even Ian Anderson, Hurston Waldrep, and Spencer Schwellenbach later in the the year.
