You say Mary is not venerated but when I walk into any Catholic church the main Idol that I see in the church is of Mary with a child or a crucified Jesus. For Catholics, the Jesus is still dead hanging in the Cross while for true Christianity, Jesus is the living God! Also, revering Mary is not Biblical tradition. It's a catholic creation or more correctly of pagan origin
