As for your Question I honestly don't know of anyone with this Sound & subject matter Lyrics I can only think of someone like Black Grape but they're more Electric mixed Sounds they use all sorts of gadgets at times too, lots of influences ranging from R&B Rap, R'n'R, Ska, Drum & Bass, Hip Hop, just about most things really. If you're British you might disagree but their subjects are closely aligned and I get a good giggle outta both bands lyrics ✌️

He passed not long ago and will be dearly missed by all who new of him. he wrote a lot of songs for a lot of artist. He definitely has that funky, bluesy, sound that Angus produces as well.
