TONG, my guy, you have to understand, timing Stone Smite (Charge H) has never been easy ESPECIALLY online. So if you see Skrull just standing there, know that in a different universe stone smite worked. 😅

Zero is broken as always XD
But Escalante showed something really interesting with that first game against Static. Hawkeye looks like a faster, more meter efficient version of Morrigan. Considering I still think Morrigan's really good in this mode, Hawkeye looks like he could be a real problem.

I loved watching the Brian Kasugano vs Paulow3b 1v1 sets on here years ago! I love watching 1v1 in this game. Crazy to see how far this game has come years later with mods to actually 1v1, even with its own mechanics!
I need to reinstall the mods and test some solo tech. I love the occasional change up in tournament format, so many things that have not been explored otherwise. As a Thor main, so many ideas already running thru my head

The funny thing I always see with fighting games is.. some people are MORE motivated to win when they're not playing what's strong, so they put more effort in, than you might see on any traditionally strong characters.
UMVC3 Tourney but all characters have Dark Pkoenix Feathers on all their normals.

It's funny how Pheonix Wright goes from bottom-tier in 3v3 to theory top 1 in 1v1. Truly shows off the differences in vanilla UMvC3 and UMvC3 1v1.

How does the x factor work in this mode? Sometimes it just regenerates instantly and sometimes it takes a while.

You want an idea for some silly matches? Let them use the cards from Heroes and Heralds mode. There's super armor, health regen, invisbility and even 3 of the same character on those cards. I think these players can come up with some crazy shit for their 3 card decks. I would love to see some card matches, and I don't think I've ever seen someone do a tournament with them. People kinda forgot that they exist.

Now we need a Ratio tournament of 1V1 (1V1, but in team of 3 players)
I'm not sure what's possible as far as modding, but a mode where you start with 5 bars of meter and you don't build any at all might be interesting. Other than that, I think that a 2/3 big body +1 flex tournament would be pretty amusing. The flex cannot be a big body, though.
That said, Zero is absolute cancer in this mode. Strong, yes, but boring as hell. I can tolerate him in the normal format since he still has to mix up and handle regular neutral, but that's almost entirely absent here. It's not good for viewer retention at all in my opinion. And there was a sea of Zeros. Also, a FT5 top 8? With so many boring Zeros? Have mercy on us, guys.
