Here in Trinidad, there is something called pip, which is a bump on the tip of the tongue, using a nail clipper or small scissors and cut it off. Much love from the Caribbean

once let a bunch of eggs hatch and ended up with a BUNCH of roosters...when they got of age, they started picking at my main guy, pictured (in the email sent)...could not bring myself to kill them off, so gradually, they got left outside at night and the predators of the sky got them. Saved a hen once from that hawk. With too many roosters, they compete and hens will stop laying. Just saying.

Not many "content providers" are able to come up with two different and compelling stories but you have. More importantly you are no doubt teaching people to step out of their comfort zone and take a chance in life to do something completely different. Wishing you many years of health and happiness in your new jungle paradise.

With babies you really just have to keep them warm, dry, and check that poop hole. ( they get stopped up easily) and really need to feed Medicated chick food for first month.

As a TH-cam Spanish student, I would recommend "The Language Tutor Spanish", although I use a variety of channels. This guy has a great approach to teaching in a logical order. I have been going through it pretty fast and forget some of it. It's good to follow his advice and really get each lesson down before getting too ahead of yourself. You can practice while you're working and enjoy learning together and with your neighbours. Your lives will be enriched very much after a year or 2 of studying and becoming bilingual. Thanks for the video.

I hope your chicken person told you that you need to keep new ones cooped up for a couple of weeks before you let them free range. When you do let them out oyster shells are good for their craw and spread what feed you give them out over a large area to encourage them to seek out other sources of feed. Y'all have a long way to go but you'll get there. Your eggs will be almost orange and full of protein. It is refreshing to see young people on a good journey.

When you were picking up that bamboo I could just picture
a T-rex poking its head around trees to see what the ruckus was.
You guys are living a dream. Soo cool. Much respect.
Roof gives special ambiance to the chickies.
Works, and its a crafting marvel, good job.
I cut oriental bamboo back in early 80's,
On an abandoned nursery gone wild near Orlando.
we cut 30 footers, just wanted the lower 3 feet.
At base we laid a hatchet on angle, drove in with hammer.
Filled a van with stocks to craft. Daytona boardwalk store.
    ***A bamboo crafting tip:
get a fire going, and take 16 penny nail on some handle,
and get it red hot. then push thru for no split nail holes!
Works on big holes, too. Red hot sharpened pipe.
Same with cutting, easy to burn thru it with an angle grinder
with 6" cut-off wheel. No splintering! Make any design on it.
And you can deburr/chamfer with the same tool.
    It's" Naught,"
    not "knot;"
    or "not."
Frank the tank, It is what it is.
    Best of luck, Adventure onward!

Guys be careful with that heat lamp. We get temps in the minus numbers and i only use a regular light bulb for the worst nights for heat. Chickens are hearty. As long as they have a draft free/dry coop, they are usually good. You live in a jungle, man, it cant be that cold there! Wondering if you can move that new coop enclosure close to the other one so you can kinda triple the little yard areas? That bamboo roof looks cool as hell. You are so sweet to your animals. ❤

It will make them way stronger for any size wood and is super quick. Add a cable with a turnbuckle to you door and it will stay square longer. You guys are killing it down there! Can’t wait to see the next episode.

Propane torch and a nice char finish before you painted or roofed.....Makes it more weather proof and last considerably longer. Boiled linseed oil also helps preserve and protect wood from bugs and rot. Environmentally friendly as well.

The henhouse bamboo roof sounds fantastic! Collecting rain water is genius. Can also use a channel with a tube designated to run directly into water trough, low-laying for the free rangers. Or onto a small Man-made shallow Pond for your ducks and other fowl to Bathe and Drink …nearest the homestead. Find some polywogs (tree frogs) and others goodies for the pond. Soon it will create its own eco system. It does. Have to a large pond. But it’s so beneficial and lovely Theo sit around enjoying the sound of trickling water and at night the frogs will lull you to sleep. I love mine. Oh, and you could add gold fish, but the birds would eat them unless you made hiding places under heavy rocks. The Racoons and Blue Heron keep eating fish… but we don’t have enough Hiding safe-house in there for them, yet, still.
Note, best if can, add a pump (even a small one is better than none) to circulate the still water in a pond so that it does not allow for mosquitoes to breed. Mosquitoes breed in stagnant still water, but not if moving/flowing.
As I’m watching your process, hoping you add a bamboo-gutter for the inside pen with bamboo opening facing downward. I’m so confused, can’t tell what’s up or down,😂😂😂. Smaller diameter bamboo over the open faces be best. Oh well, it’s done by tie. We watch anyways.
Hahaha, bird-doo colored henhouse. 😂😂😂Kristen is funny
