I love your breakdown, it's very fascinating. But... do you ever think about the fact that Yahweh is super brutal and actually seems pretty evil? He started wars and punished people for minor transgressions, he encouraged sacrifices and even tortured Job just to prove someone to Satan. Does this sound like the "loving father" that Jesus spoke of? And did Jesus ever once refer to his father as Yahweh? I'm pretty certain that Jesus showed up to let people know that the one true God (his father) was not Yahweh and to tell people they had been worshipping the wrong God. After Jesus showed up, Yahweh stopped talking to people. I think he was embarrassed and his minions were upset because it was clear that someone more powerful sent Jesus. I don't understand how people can read the Old Testament and think that is our loving father. That "god" was a petty A-hole.

All I was saying was that I believe in Jesus and his teachings but I have a hard time getting fully on board with standard Christianity because I don't believe in the messages of the Old Testament. It seems to me that anyone with good values would recognize that Yahweh is awful. If that's the God I'm supposed to worship, no thanks. Revelation 14 line 4.
