Wilson’s ‘The Outsider’ changed my whole perception on everything. Reading ‘The Occult’ now understand your Faculty X username. Thanks for sharing, will consider.
You know i fully agree. The Outsider was the BEST book I have ever read, however its NOT for the illiterate or the uneducated. Those whom are not familiar with the works he's referencing will be lost in a heartbeat. This book helped to increase my creativity 1000x fold, religion and the rebel is also a great book and to UNDERSTAND THe mind Parasites fully, one has to have Read The Outsider.
@@faculty_x He got so little respect from the literary establishment in the UK after his initial success that one could think they were infected by the mind parasites! Yet he was revered and taken seriously in other countries. He was very kind to younger writers and agreed to write an intro to my Aleister Crowley Scrapbook when I asked him back in the 1980s. The range of subjects he wrote on is remarkable. Good luck with your endeavours.
@@faculty_x I met him on a number of occasions. He used to be surrounded by people claiming to be 'an Outsider' of which I stood back away from the crowd and laughed at all of them for their silliness and their unauthentic need for affirmation and acceptance. Mr Wilson then pointed directly at ME and then said THIS MAN is an Outsider! In my own words to be accepted is to be powerless, but to be REJECTED makes one very powerful and creative.
I just finished reading this book last week. I was blown away. First thing I've read by Colin Wilson. Kind of obsessed now. Currently reading The Philosopher's Stone. Thanks alot for your review. What are some of your other favorites by Wilson?
the first in his Spider World series was impressive! I THINK it was Roald Dahl that challenged him to write a children's series. Spider World was his answer. It's pretty grim for kids, but I enjoyed the hell out of it, the first one anyway.
holy fuck I'm so hyped I thought that the Faculty X name was related to Colin Wilson but wasn't sure if you were just a fitness page BUT NOW I KNOW!!!! curious when was your last peak experience? do you know the author Robert greene?
I'm aware of Robert Greene but haven't delved into his work. Any you can recommend? But on to your question about peak experiences... From my experience, they are self-generated. I experience them when I'm able to use my willpower to overcome self-limitations or when I'm able to deeply relax, either in meditation, listening to music or sometimes when simply observing nature.

Colin was a great and generous man. Sad he's gone but great to see him getting overdue respect.
Indeed! He was a remarkable man with a refined intellect- someone I hope to emulate through my work in the future.

astral sneake is a mind parasite....
That round atomic like object next to the back left of the video. What is it? I see it in esoteric drawings.
It looks like an astrolabe - model of the solar system.
I think real world parasites actually do invade the brain😂
Ah videos as loud music plays In the background. Extremely unnecessary
