Wow. Nice video. Sending full support. Thank you for sharing. Greetings from kapiso mo vlog. Godbless❤️😇
Erwan indeed owned the podium for the best food documentary show in the country that is international level to showcase to the world. 👌🏻
philippines finally shining in the culinary arts world let's gooo!!
As a balikbayan, i never actively search for these restaurants when i go home, it's always the street foods and cheap eats that I crave. I don't go out of my way to look for a fine dining experience just because i never thought about these types of food. But with so many channels featuring fine dining, I gotta say, I have to go back and have a look.
surprised that tambis is a feat for fine dining dishes ❤️ there's a lot more interesting fruits we have to incorporate with, waiting for it to be discovered. Kudos to chefs 👌
Nice one Don! Last time I saw him 5 years ago we're competing in the same category and he won!
Now he's popular with his restaurant "Linamnam" nice one brother!
I’ve seen Alvin from his skinny days to this day and age. I even met him in one of his restos in LA. Hope he’s ok. 😊
Wow. I really learned a lot and the Filipino fine dining scene is setting off above the scales. Great job chefs. This might be a good showcase to attract other people to put the Filipino cuisine on the world map. We don't only serve adobo and sisig. We are way way way better than that.
Ready to make a trip and try some fine Filipino dining! Thanks Chef Alvin 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Asador Alfonso……Wow! That is a destination I am looking forward to as well!
Wow, astig yung asuhos pang fine dining. Cheap fish but if prepared properly can be world class. 🔥
Eyyy thanks so much for this!!
I had no idea you could find fine dining in Manila ..maybe because I've always come across content related to street food. Great discovery👍
There are alot actually, Gallery by Chele, Hapag, Toyo, Modan, Metiz, Metronome, to name a few
Filipino fine dining. Wow. What a great thing to watch! ❤
Looking forward to going to Metiz when we get back to the Philippines

Just in time for my Architectural thesis. A cuisine World in the Philippines focusing on the Filipino dining experience. thanks appreciate this vid.
I agree with Alvin about making our food presentable to the westerners, however I would still like our food to remain cheap and affordable
Raising the ordinary filipino dishes to Extraordinary! 💖👍👏
Never been this early to a FEATR vid! Happy to see Chef Alvin enjoy his time around the motherland 😍
El Bulli in Spain was the best restaurant in the world and I never had the chance to do it! Come on Asador Alfonso! Tag, you’re IT!
Thank you FEATR! Just Thank you...
Wow!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Alvin used to go to our restaurant back then during his eggslut days. I’m happy that a Filipino was cooking great food in LA and he was an inspiration.
We Filipinos loves to eat and no boundaries to experimental cooking!!!
I never knew that he started Eggslut :O I love that place
Tapuy! So far, I haven’t seen any bloggers who went to the Cordilleras try it.

Eggslut himself is in the PI!
Nice
Inato in bisaya means simple, nothing fancy, as according only to the host style and not with so much extravagant prep. It is said to a visitor/s so that they will feel welcome and not underwhelmed as to what many visitor would thought that every household must prep fancy ones so it will be pleasing.
I’m late to this but….. Checking in from SAN FRANCISCO, CA.
Idol❤ chef alvin❤❤
Whoa, Chef Alvin!!!
Inato’ which the to has to be stressed in Cebuano when you say the word. Meaning, keeping the meal simple and homely.
this guy Don is a madman
if you really wanna try filipino food. try what erwan did in quezon province.
🇵🇭 fine dining 🥇🏆😋
Brother you are one burger away from having a heart attack
Damn, didn’t know na pumunta pala siya dito sa Pinas
😢 the shot at 10:33. I want alvin to live forever but im worried.
He really should make a conscious effort to lose some weight for his health.
Cailan is his last name, wow
Filipino food 🥇🥇🥇🏆🏆🏆😋😋😋
Ano daw po yung title nung hiphop song sa unang part ng video, salamat!
I love you so much bro, and its only from love I ask, can we get you on a low salt low alcohol diet? Being heavy is fine, but there's some salt and alcohol excess-cross pollination that is like the ULTIMATE bloating combo
Oh hey, Sam and Ralph cameo.
Inato can also mean "nothing fancy", as in "inato lang ha?" (Let's eat but nothing fancy)
We had a tambis tree in Cebu
This is amazing, you wouldn't know that there are fine dining here in the pHilippines and it is so filipino ❤❤❤

Tambis & makupa is different
Feeling ko parang sinasampal ako ng kahirapan while watching this 😅
U should try Diwata's Restaurant.. the queen of Pares
Worried about him. He's even bigger now.
❤️🇵🇭💯
bahay kubo
That’s the biggest Filipino I’ve ever seen in my life. He’s like 3 full grown Filipinos combined. I guess that’s what American food does to people.
He was 140 pounds when he left for the US. When he came back from the US, he became 420 pounds. Land of Milk and Honey indeed.
daming shep na pinoy
Inatu in bisaya means humble or something basic.
Eggslut
🤍🧡
SOS YAN LG?🤣🤣walang wala yan sa mga kilalang carenderia sa pinas😂liliit ng portions..ag mahal pa😂
Linamnam is michelin worthy
Last place is meh.
How can Filipino food So called supposedly make it , I don’t Know, I don’t think Filipino cuisine need to do anything much , Filipino cuisine don’t need to make the cuisine Fine Dining ( Other Asian Culinary tourist destinations, didn’t necessarily make their cuisine Fine dining or tried to reinvent their cuisine for foreigner tourists) they just stuck to their cuisine with loyalty , I just think Pampangan food or Filipino cuisine in general just has to if it’s not already work on the ambiance ( the setting ) not necessarily fancy but decent. and maybe tourists are not into the Turo Turo , they want to sit down and have the food come out freshly cooked , I don’t think Tourist frequent the Turo Turo type places ( if they have any ) in Thailand , Singapore , Japan, Vietnam, I think the tourists in those places eat at the freshly cooked street food and sit down freshly cooked restaurants , ( not necessarily their fancy fine dining restaurants )
i hate linamnam so much
"I am Filipino but I realized, have I really eaten Filipino Food?"
Then goes to fine dining places? Lol. That's an approximation of Filipino food. From a certain pov, charitably some might even say an "elevation" of Filipino food. But that's NOT reconnecting to one's roots. That's reconnecting to other people's bougiefied interpretation of one's roots.
di naman totoont pinoy yan
Coconut yan. Which means "Filipino who can't speak Tagalog". Di talaga totoong pinoy yan, ung pinoy di ganyan kalaki😅
Basic
“Kanin is national, ulam is regional, sawsawan is personal” Astig! 💯
Creed of Filipino Food
