I am so happy to see such spiritually mature young people with a full grasp of the gospel and salvation and the whole Bible, including the Old Testament. Such words of wisdom from those who are so young. Good job Pastor Burris! Thank you for sharing your family, they are lovely. Good news Nathan, the Bible never commands the wearing of ties, ha ha, and I'm sure you already know that. Good old Johnny Mac. My family loves John Macarthur. When my husband was sent to Iraq many years ago, he discovered John Macarthur when a John Macarthur Study Bible appeared in a care package. My husband wanted it when he first saw it, but did not want to be greedy because he thought it might be for someone else. He waited three days, and it was still there so he snagged it. That Bible is beat up now and may God bless John Macarthur for his faithfulness. I love the music Reagan is naming off. Praise God. Some of those are my favorites too! God bless you all! I needed this. My family has stayed away from attending church because of church hurt. It has taken me years to come to understanding of what Reagan and Nathan said about the fact that people will hurt you, but that leaning on God will get us through, He is our Anchor. Amen. I am so glad I stumbled upon Pastor Burris, all because of an acquaintance that I know falling into KJV onlyism. God bless you and your family.
As a PK who is now a pastor, I can only pray I have the relationship with my kids (now 4 and 4 months old respectfully) that you seem to have with your kids.
I am so thankful I "stumbled" on this video. It has encouraged me so much. I pray to find people who love and want to grow in God's Word. Even in the independent Baptist Church, we attend. I love hearing young people speak with enthusiasm about their relationship/walk with Christ. I love looking at things and examine them too.
Enjoyed this very much! And all I have to say is this about the ties: the only reason I have a tie on in my profile photo on here is because my mom made me wear one for our family photos that year.....🤣🤣🤣.
@@pastorburris They may want to consider starting their own channel to speak to their generation with the truth and conviction from God's word. The Lord has built a solid foundation in each of them.
This was an even better interview that what i thought it would be. Alot of wisdom that was passed down and all the glory goes to God. Love seeing young people going to G3 conference. Also im not much for ties but i do like the zipper ones and they look real lol
You both are amazing (and I’m not a bit partial lol). The common thread throughout was their hope and steadfast faith in the Lord Jesus. It’s evident that they are both building their faith in Jesus, the rock that will stand the worst of storms. Y’all know my story. And I know how much it can hurt to watch your father kicked around so to speak. But knowing to run to Jesus, the rock of your faith, is the only way. I’m proud of both of you and love you more than you know.
Being a preachers kid my self it was very hard, they always said you live in a glass house I have seen things you wouldn’t believe, from one end to the other, like threatening to kill my father, I cried when the police came in the church, leaving notes on the property with threats, pointing fingers right directly in his face, this is when I lived at home. It hurt me to watch things like that happen in a church because it effects your whole family, it doesn’t get easier, keep praying.
1. Wel' ah'll be barefoot n' tar heeled dug deep down in ah field o' pine needles, Pastor Burris, this is ah mighty fine family friendly episode of The Overopinionated Pastor. 2. Lookin' n' a-heerin' yer two luvly chil'run, it done seem to me like yoo n' yer wife cooked up a real hearty Carolina breakfast, 'cause from left to right yuh got eggs n' bacon. An' then on the far right, yer the burnt toast with that dern grizzly beard. Just how many bears have yoo wrestled? 3. Thuh good Lord willin', perhaps some day yer yungin's will find suitable mates yoo approve of, marry, settle down, n' start their own families. Then n' only then, yoo n' yer Misses may have the blessing to say: "If we knew grandchildren were this much fun, we would have had them first." 4. Psalm 127:3-5 (KJV): "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate." 5. And if the King James Bible is preferred enough for the Burris family, then that's preferred enough for me.
1. And we ain't even Georgia, 'Bama or 'Sippi, let alone Palmetto. 2. One thing I noticed about your son: Whereas your 'shealogian' shares your choleric (fiery) temperament, your son appears to have a phlegmatic (cool headed) temperament. 3. A person with a phlegmatic temperament fits well in the military, so he might make a good chaplain. 4. If he went that route and also went airborne, maybe with binoculars you and the Misses could watch him jump from a perfectly good airplane harnessed in a parachute over those sand hills to the south east of you.

These types of declarations in scripture are simple and everyone can see they are true. I understand you are a product of the church. But it's time for you to say what you are afraid to say. The Word tells us to examine ourselves to make sure we are in the faith.

Amen bro.!! Awesome video! Keep on Keeping On, Burris Family!!
Thank you for shared with us. Great video! Praise God!
Love the Burris family! So proud of Nathan and Reagan! ❤️

Your kids got this. Really enjoying this video.
They did so well.

Very refreshing and edifying conversation! Excellent!
Reagan would make a great teacher and even author.

Reagan is like Elisabeth Elliot in what she’s saying on the last ?
