I started watching your videos in december and decided learning pine script and automation was the way to go. No previous coding experience, and now I have fully automated strategies using TV to MT4 connector without learning to code MQL and focusing on pine script. I'm a little over a Year into trading and realized early on personally it would take much longer for me to develop the psychological skills to be a profitable trader than for me to learn to code and automate, which ironically have improved my trading psychology because of following rigid rules. KEEP IT UP LOVE THE CONTENT!

Unfortunately you can't backtest multiple markets using a single script (at least not without significantly complex work-arounds) - hopefully TradingView will add this feature soon as it's something I'd like to use as well. For now, the best you can do is cycle through each market 1-by-1
Definitely - although it's only as powerful as your knowledge of the markets and what it is you're specifically looking for. It's not a shortcut or magic pill, but more like an amplifier :) if you know the kinds of things you're looking for then Pine Script is extremely powerful for detecting certain conditions/setups/patterns etc

Would love to learn it but every step is painful to get running even though I have considerable experience programming. Not much useful help available. Every function seems to need a lot of context to work. V5
Comparing writing an RSI function in python from scratch to using it in Pine is comparing apples to oranges is disingenuous at best. Have you not heard of TA-Lib?! Now that you have heard of it from this post, why not redo this video using TA-Lib and show THAT script to Pine's script to reveal the actual difference? Otherwise, this is a biased video downplaying python and overflowing Pine in comparison. Nor saying Pine is not easy for beginners, but one should not be misleading the audience about how tough python is for reasons of not knowing the existence of TA-Lib. One should be scrupulously objective and unbiased as far as possible.
slap in the face of all uneducated traders who skipped school and college just to make money by trading. Edit: of course you can make billions without it too

What’s the point of making a strategy that you can’t optimise or is there a way to optimise on TView also I couldn’t seem to backtest past 2015🤷🏽♂️
