Girl Crush - Lori McKenna ft. Ashley Monroe at The O2, London (2016)

Lori McKenna explains how 'Girl Crush' was written before singing the award winning track with Ashley Monroe at CMA Songwriters, London. The Little Big Town recorded song was penned by McKenna, Hillary Lindsey and Liz Rose. The song won Song of the Year & Single of the Year at the 2015 CMA Awards and also Best Country Duo/Group Performance & Best Country Song at the 2015 Grammys, having also been nominated for Song of the Year.
The songwriters event took place at Indigo within the O2 Arena, London on 10th March 2016 as a prelude to the Country to Country Music Festival.

One of the most moving experiences I’ve had was at a Brandi Carlile concert in Seattle…. She played with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra and they had us sing all together… they divided the venue into three parts and we all sang … it was an incredibly awesome 5 minutes!!
