Mate you've got some serious stamina going for 10hrs in one day on that lawn! That is one beautiful lawn. Out of interest do you find that Kikuyu invades you garden beds or is problematic due to its underground rhizomes?
Nah mate I don't have issues making sure I regularly keep the edges maintained
Nice work bro. Ive just done the same to mine a few weeks ago. So time consuming but worth it.
1000% worth it mate!!
Far out what a yard! Mate that was tiring just watching. Solid work! Epic to see someone ripping in this late. Just did my 200sqm KIK and the wife wants to kill me haha. Greening up fast after a week. Can’t wait for the updates. What did you do with all the clippings? That would’ve filled the local tip 😂
Hahah plenty of warmth left hey!! Took about 4m3 to the tip
Just did the same after advice from Ben,and l knew you were doing yours this week in Victoria. In Ballarat so l hope it’s not to late 😢
Should be sweet!
You`re winding down and I`m just starting my yearly lawn cycle. Gonna be a long season here in Texas.
Time for the fun to begin!!
Good video, great quads 🙌💙😍
hahaha
Thanks for the Great video’s , if you want to save some time use a tow behind lawn sweeper, 👍
Cheers!
I didn't think a cylinder would be effective to clean up like that as it doesn't 'suck' up, don't think I've seen anyone do that before! A lot of contractors over here in Perth recommend to scarify first before you scalp, apparently it makes the scalp a lot easier becuase it's not as thick, and the grass has already been stood up
I think the best method is
- Scarify
- Clean up
- Scalp with rotary
- Scarify
- Clean up
- pass with the reel mower
- core
- topdress
Maybe 2 extra steps than the usual scalp scarify core topdress but I think it would make the scalp much much easier
Yeah case by case basis depending on conditions too I reckon mate! And what cylinder you have, I couldn't do this with my masport
@@lawnsingoodnick4834I have a Rover 45
So you can clean up scarifyings with your MM but couldn't with your Masport Olympic? That's weird haha. I tried it myself on Sunday and although it did pick up some scarifyings it also just squashed a lot down haha had to rake up the rest in the end
How late can you do a scalp and topdress on Couch grass in QLD before winter hits?
Probably starting to push it about now I'd say!
Hii!! What is the temperature there when you did the job? Saludos from Argentina
Around 25-30 degrees ,man!!
You need to borrow one of Bens ride on's.
Be nice if he shared!! haha
What height do you have your scarifier at, please?
Lowest!
Is that Kikuyu grass?
Sure is!
What does everyone do with there clippings?
Tip!
How’s the house and hard?! Mint. Where are you based?
SE Vic mate!
Great video I think you need a utility mower to scalpe I have a bushranger utility a weapon and just pick up a old victa two stroke utility unbelievable.
Would help me out a lot wouldn't it!
I feel like your music audio is much louder than voice. Could just be for people watching it on a tv with surround sound tho.
Hmmm yeah I've been playing around with that. Always plays back fine for me on computer and phone
